I remember so well, the day that you came into my life. You asked for my name, you had the most beautiful smile.
"Vice?" I turned into that call from my back. Nakita ko ang isang dalaga na nakalight curls, white shirt, short shorts and Chuck Taylor's. Ang ganda niya. I thought to myself. She's so simple.
"Hi?" Ay, hindi ko pa nga pala alam kung anong pangalan niya. But I'm sure with two things about her, anak sya ni Ms. Z at galing siya sa kabilang bakod.
"Vice right? I'm Karylle." she said in an angelic voice. Ay jusko Lord, bakit po kayo nagbaba ng anghel mula sa itaas? Sobrang ganda naman po niya.
"Hi Karylle! Ikaw yung anak ni Ms. Z no? Yung bagong lipat? Hi!" I welcomed her with a hug and a kiss in the cheek.
"Ah eh, oo. I was called na maggueguest hurado daw ako? I'm really not familiar.."
"It's okay, I'll tour you! By the way, I am Jose Marie Borja Viceral but you can call me Vice Ganda. 25, Philippines!" Tinitigan ako ni Karylle, as if she was saying "25 ka ba talaga?" at her looks. "Oo na, 35 na. Hahaha, kung makatingin 'tong si Karylle eh!" She laughed on what I said. Jusko, sobrang hinhin naman po nito.
"Looks like someone made a friend today. Hi K, I'm Direk Bobet." Direk B said as he extended his hand for a shake. Shinake naman ito ni K and she gave Direk a sweet smile.
"Hi Direk, someone called me that I was going to be a guest hurado for next week here in Showtime, then he also said na magreport daw ako today to confirm if pwede ako or hindi."
"Oh, yes right. Are you free next week? Kasi dito sa Showtime, as long as hindi ka nabuburado, you'll stay as our hurado for as long as the madlang people wants you to stay."
"Oo naman po Direk, I'm free. And buti nga po may pagkakaabalahan ako, since you know po, kakalipat ko lang from GMA."
"Okay! That's good to hear. Since I guess you and Vice are friends now, I think he can tour you here at our studio."
"Kaloka tong si Direk. Ginawa akong tour guide!" Karylle laughed with that. Her sweet smile and angelic laugh kills me, and I don't know why. "Pero dahil mabait ako, keri lang. Hahahaha, mukha namang mabait 'tong si Karylle, magkakasundo kami. Pareho pa kaming maganda. Di'ba?" Nobody reacted on what I said. Tinitigan ko ng masama si Karylle at Direk. "Karylle, maganda ako di'ba?!" sabi ko kay K ng mapagbanta. She smiled and said, "Of course you are!" And Direk laughed on what we did.
Nagpaalam na si Direk since he said na kailangan nyang asikasuhin pa yung mga bagong set of hurados for next week. Naiwan ako at si K kaya I kept her company since wala pa siyang kakilala dito sa Abs-Cbn.
We were walking towards the dressing room ng mga hurado ng makita ko si Anne. "WAKLAAAAAA!!" bati niyang malakas sakin. "NGANGABU!!! NAMISS KITA!!" Anne just came home from an one-week vacation at Australia, kaya namiss ko ang malaking bunganga ng babaeng 'to. We hugged each other and I introduced K to her. "Ngangabu, this is Karylle. Karylle, this is Anne."
"Hi Anne! Kamusta na?" Karylle said as she hugged Anne.
"Eto okay lang, namiss kita! The last time I saw you, nasa kabila pa ako. Hahahaha." Anne joked as she gave K a beso.
"Oo nga eh, ngayon nandito na tayo pareho. Hahaha, in the same noontime show pa!"
"Oo nga, who would've thought di'ba? So ikaw pala yung surprise hurado ni Direk for us."
