"Uy. Kamusta?" sabi ko sa babaeng nasa harapan ko. "Karylle kaclose mo siya? Omg!' narinig ko na nagsalita yung mga kasama niya, siguro barkada niya. Nginitian ko lang sila at bumalik ang tingin ko kay Karylle. "Ay oo nga, Vice, this is Nikki, this is Anne, this is Joey." "Hi, I'm Vice." I gave them each a handshake. "Ihahandshake pa ba kita Curtis?" sabi ko when it was Anne's turn to handshake. "Che! Hahaha." "It was nice seeing you again, Karylle." I said after I gave them all a handshake. "It was nice seeing you too. Saan next class mo?" she asked. "Ay, sa Assumption Building ako eh." I answered. "Yun, si Joey dun din eh. Sabay na kayo, para makaclose mo na din yan. sabat ni Anne kaya I agreed na lang sa idea niya.

"Karylle did you change your number?" I asked. Umiling lang siya at nginitian ako. "Mind if I ask you something?" Nilingon lang niya ako at itinaas ang mga kilay, as if she was saying 'ano yun?' "Uhmm, can... can we go out?" Hindi siya umimik. Damn, mukhang iba yung dating sa kanya. "No, what I mean was go out as a group. Isama mo sila Anne, sa Space, this Saturday. My treat, don't worry." She nodded in reply and smiled at me. As soon as the bell ringed, we went our seperate way. Me and Joey went to the Assumption building. "Uh, hi. Do you mind if I ask?" she said. "Ano yun?" I smiled as I said those words. "Pano mo nakilala si Karylle?" I kept silent, thinking if I should tell her or not. "Uh, sorry kung masyadong personal. It's okay kung di mo sasagutin." sabi niya as she flashed a shy smile. "Can you keep a secret?" she nodded. "She's my ex." Her eyes widened on what I said. "OH MY GOD. Ex ni Karylle ang isang Jose Marie 'Vice' Viceral? Anak ng may-ari ng Viceral Group of Companies?!" she said. "Shh! Hahaha. But, yeah." sagot ko sa kanya. "But wait. Ex mo? Anong nangyare? That's sad." her smile fell nung marealize nya ang sinabi ko. "I graduated. I needed to study here, para kasing hindi okay kung ipagpapatuloy namin and we decided na magfocus sa studies." I answered. She nodded in agreement. "How come hindi niya to nakwento samin? Madaya yang si Kurba!" Napanting ang tenga ko nung narinig ko ang salitang Kurba. Memories came back as if it just happened yesterday.

I was waiting for Karylle for 15 minutes now. I am with her dad, talking things about her and about life. "You know, Vice, you are not what I thought about you." "Is that a good thing or a bad thing, sir?" I thought you were a spoiled brat. Yung tipong, walang direksyon sa buhay. Knowing that you are the only child of the Viceral Group of Companies, at alam ko namang ikaw ang magiging tagapag-mana non, akala ko you were just living life as it goes. But you prove me wrong. And I'm lucky my Karylle found you." I smiled on the compliments Dr. M told me. "Glad to hear that from you, sir." "Hey Vice, I want to tell you something. Before I die, I want to see my Karylle settle down with you." I froze for a moment on what I've heard. Me? Karylle? Settle down? Napalingon ako kay Dr. M. Bago ko pa masagot ang sinabi niya ay may narinig na kaming pamilyar na boses galing sa likod namin.

"Vice okay lang ba suot ko?" she asked me while she was walking down the stairs. She wore a black sleeveless above the knee dress, filled with beads at the upper portion and the uppermost portion was made of lace. "You look beautiful. Kurbang-kurba!" sabi ko as I wrapped my hands around her waist. I kissed her forehead. "Ganda naman ng Kurba ko." "Syempre, inlove sa poging boyfriend eh." She pinched my nose and I pouted. "Tara na?" I nodded in reply. "Dad una na po kami." K's dad stood up and gave K a kiss. I offered my hand and he shook it. "Ingatan mo ang prinsesa ko ha? "Of course sir." "Have a great night." "Bye Pa." "Bye po."
