Dear Aaliyah,

                You are the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I know I have put you through a lot over the whole Selena thing and I am very sorry. I love you so much and I never want to do anything to jeopardize our relationship. I can’t wait to come back to the U.S after this leg or the tour is over. I plan on spending every chance I can with you during the couple week break I get. I hope I haven’t made you love me less by making you hurt while I went through a phase over wanting Selena back, I am truly sorry about that. I hope you think hard about our relationship during your flight I want you to be 100% sure you want to be with me I am 100% sure I want to be with you. I promise as long as you love me (no pun intended) I will do everything in my power to make you happy. I love you so much baby, have a safe flight and enjoy the time you have with your family and tell Olivia I said hi.

After reading his letter I sat and thought about how much I love him and how happy he makes me. He was wrong about me being the best thing to happen to him, in reality he is the best thing to ever happen to me. I love him with my whole heart and nothing will ever change that. After I broke down a little I decided to go to sleep before arriving in New York to see Olivia.

                After my nap the flight attendant woke me up to tell me we we’re about to land in New York. After the bumpy landing I gathered my things and met a car that took me to a hotel to freshen up before going to visit Olivia. I arrived at the hospital and asked the nurse at the front desk if I could visit her, I had already talked to Olivia’s mom and we had decided to surprise her. The nurse gave me Olivia’s room number and I got on the elevator and went up to her floor. I finally arrive at her room and I knock gently on the door “Come in.” I hear a faint little voice say.

 I walk in and as soon as she saw me her face lit up “Hi Aaliyah!” She said with excitement. “Hello sweetie.”I said “How are you?” I asked “I feel sick today.” She answered looking at her mom. I look at her mom “She had her chemo a couple days ago so she is feeling the after affects of it right now.” She said I nodded my head understanding. “What’s that?” Olivia asked pointing at the basket in my hands “Oh right these are gifts from Justin.” I answered sitting next to her in the bed. She began going through the basket, she pulled out the CD “Mommy can you play this?” She asked “Yeah sure sweetie.” She said grabbing the album from her and putting it into Olivia’s little pink CD player.

The acoustic version of boyfriend came on and Olivia began to sing as she finished looking through the basket. “Sweetie, I’m going to talk to Aaliyah in the hallway. We’ll be right back.” She said “Do you want to talk to Justin while we are gone?” I asked “Yes!”She said happily “I called him “Hello? How was your flight?” He asked “Good I’m here with Olivia right now and she wanted to talk to you while I speak to her mother in the hallway.” I said “Okay.” He said I handed her the phone and she began talking to him.

I followed Olivia’s mom into the hallway “Is everything okay?” I asked “Not really.” She said beginning to tear up “What’s wrong?” I asked as we sat down in two chairs in the hallway “Well the doctor came in this morning, he doesn’t think the chemo is helping he said she won’t make it past Christmas this year.” She said crying “I started to cry “They can’t do anything?” I asked “He said they have done everything they can.” She said “So she only has 8 months left?”I asked “We are praying for longer but the doctor said about 8 months.” She said I hugged her “My husband sayswe need a new hospital that has more funding so they can do more tests to help” She said “I’m so sorry Justin and I will help you every way we can.” I said “Thanks Aaliyah it means a lot She adores you and Justin.” She said “I’ll keep praying for her. How about if she is feeling up to it, maybe you guys can come out to L.A. soon and maybe come back down for Christmas.” I said “Really?” She asked “Yeah Justin’s house is more than big enough we have a lot of family coming in but we would enjoy if you guys could come.” I said “That’d be amazing, Thanks Aaliyah for everything!” She said “You’re welcome.” I said “Well we better get back in there hopefully your phone is okay.” She said laughing.

We walked back into the room and Olivia was laughing, her laugh was so cute. Her mom looked at me and smiled I smiled back. “Okay Sweetie why don’t you say goodbye to Justin and let Aaliyah talk to him.” Her mom said “Okay mommy, Bye Justin!” She said “Bye Olivia. Don’t forget what you promised me.” He said “I won’t” She said with a huge smile and she handed me the phone I took it off of speaker phone and I walked into the hallway to talk to him.

“Hello.” I said “Hey babe how are you doing?” He asked “Honestly terrible.”I said beginning to cry “Why babe what’s wrong?” He asked “Olivia’s mom just told me the doctor said it’s unlikely for Olivia to make it until next year.” I said to him my voice cracking “What? There has to be something they can do.”He said “They’ve tried everything and She thinks it’s the hospital she said they don’t get enough funding to do the right testing and I think they are having trouble keeping up with all the bills and the Chemo and everything” I said “I’ll see what I can do to help.” He said “Okay, I told Olivia’s mom we would like for them to come out to L.A and spend some time with us and invited them down for Christmas.” I said “Okay sounds great. I miss you already” He said “I know baby I miss you too.”I said “I love you.” He said “I love you too. How was your show?” I asked “It was good I’m tired now” He said “I bet well babe I’ll let you go to bed goodnight I love you!” I said “Goodnight I love you I’ll call you when I wake up.” He said “Okay bye.” I said “Bye Aaliyah.” He said

I walked back in and I spent an hour and a half playing to Olivia and her mom then I said “I hate to rush off but I have to get home.” I said “Okay thank you so much Aaliyah for everything.” She said “You’re welcome just let us know if you need anything.” I said hugging her. The door opened and we turned around to see Olivia’s Doctor. “Hello.”He said “Hi Dr.Rush.” Olivia’s mom said

“I just wanted to come in and tell you we just got a call from someone and they offered to pay all of Olivia’s medical bills and they donate $10,000 for further treatment and testing.” He said with a huge smile “What?” Olivia’s mom said “Yeah whoever it was really wants us to find a cure for her.” He said “Oh my, that’s amazing.” Her mom said sitting down in a chair as she burst into tears “Thank you so much doctor.” She said “You’re welcome but don’t thank me thank her guardian angel.” He said smiling and then he left.

“Well I’m going to leave congratulations.” I said smiling “Thanks do you know who did this?” She asked “No.” I said I had a pretty good idea who it was but I think he’d want it a secret at least for now. I walked over and hugged Olivia and said goodbye she hugged me and kissed my cheek and said goodbye. Then I left and headed back home to Ohio to visit my family before returning back to California.
