I Wish I Could Be There For You.

We woke up the next morning and had to pack our things. Justin wanted to make one more stop before Diane and Bruce take us to the airport. We pulled up to a condo and Justin began honking the horn the door flew open and out ran Jazmyn and Jaxon.

We got out of the car and the kids ran to Justin he picked them both up in his arms spinning around as he hugged them. “Hey guy’s man I’ve missed you two.” He said.

Jeremy walked over and hugged me “Hey Aaliyah how have you been?” He asked “Good how about you?”I asked “Just trying to keep up with these kids.” He said with a chuckle “Yeah those Bieber kids are a challenge.” I said looking at Justin. He winked at me then he sat the kids down Jazmyn ran over to me and hugged me “Aaliyah!” She yelled “Hey sweetie.” I said picking her up.  “Hey pops.”Justin said hugging Jeremy.

“Do you have time to come in the kids have a surprise for you.” Jeremy said “Yeah we can come in real quick.” Justin replied I put Jazmyn down and she and Jaxon raced to the house. Justin grabbed my hand and we walked to the house.

We walked in and see a huge poster on the floor that said “We love you Justin.” You could clearly tell Jazmyn wrote it. “Aww that’s so cute!” I said “aww thanks guys!” Justin said squatting down to hug them.

We stayed there for about 15 minutes as Jazmyn told us stories about things that had happened at school and at dance class. Justin listened attentively to every word she said he is going to be an amazing father. After she was finished with her stories Justin said “Well we better get going I love you guys.” We each hugged them and headed towards the door.

“Wait!” Jazmyn yelled “You forgot the sign.” She said struggling to run while carrying the big sign. “Oh thanks Jazzy.” Justin said grabbing the sign from her.

“Wait Aaliyah I have something for you.” She said I watched as she ran into her room and returned moments later with a little teddy bear. She handed it to me “What’s this for?” I asked “Justin gave it to me to keep my bad dreams away but I want you to have it.” She said

 “But Jazzy it’s yours you should keep it.” I said trying to hand it back to her “But I want you to keep it.” She said with a sad look in her eyes. “Okay I’ll keep it thanks Jazzy.” I said bending down to hug her. “You’re welcome now you won’t have any bad dreams.” She said “Thank I’ll sleep with it every night.” I said hugging her again “Promise?”She asked “Pinky promise.” I said holding out my pinky she wrapped her little pinky around mine. “We’ll see you guys really soon.” Justin said as we walked out of the house

It was a long ride to the airport and once we arrived it was heartbreaking Bruce cried as he hugged Justin goodbye. I hugged them both “I hate when you have to leave.” Bruce said still crying “I know grandpa but I’ll be back I promise.” He said “I know you will I just hate saying goodbye and having to let go all over again.” Bruce said I tried to not let my tears fall but I didn’t do a very good job Diane came over and hugged me “It’s okay Sweetie.” She said rubbing my back I hugged her “It just reminds me of my Papaw he hates when I leave too.” I said

“Alright guys we have to go.” Justin said we hugged them both and then got on the jet. “Now it’s just us.” Justin said

3 weeks later

The night before my papaw’s surgery I went into his room to tell him goodnight, He had me sit down because he wanted to talk to me “I am so proud of you. You have no idea and I love you, and I promise to make it through this surgery if you promise to go to that concert” He said he knew I had tickets to go but I said if he didn’t make it through the surgery I wasn’t going to go.
