"exposed path"
Lyrics: 6 in the morning knowing I should go home...
The cars were deadly silent as they drove to the cabin next door, Taehyung had a tight grip around his seatbelt thinking of all the possibilities waiting for them.
What if no one was there?
If no one is at this cabin this is where the case would run cold, they needed to know everything.
They all wanted closure.
Mark seemed to be quickly typeing away on his laptop, the click clack of the keys became comfortable till they stopped.
"He replied."
Jungkook almost pulled over in shock but didnt. Instead he turned down the Christmas music waiting for Mark to explain what the boy replied back with.
"He says that he is currently living in Tokyo. He asked if they were arrested."
"Tell him that Jinyoung is dead." Jungkook replied with a cold tone not caring for his rotting away brother who was involved in this mess.

When they reached the neighbouring cabin thankfully two cars were parked in the driveway. They all got out including Mark with his laptop in hand.
"Who wants to knock first?"
Nobody made an effort to raise their hand leaving Jungkook as the one to knock. Walking up the steps they saw a light on in the huge living room window covered by curtions.
They waited a minute after knocking to hear the door open to reveal a woman in her late 40's at least.
"Hello ma'am, we are currently staying in the cabin over from yours. We have a couple questions for you if you don't mind answering them."
"Why of course dear, please come in. Honey! We have guest." She sweetly replied opening the door a but more so they all could walk in. The cabin smelled of baked goods and coffee, they all knocked snow off their boots before walking into the pretty cabin.
Her husband sat on a recliner watching the television paying no mind to the several young boys walking in and taking a seat.
"Now what is it that you would like to know?"
"Four years ago, there was accident on the road near the huge drop off when you round the mountain. Taehyung who is sitting next to me was in this car crash."
"When I was in the car crash I lost all my memory on what happend. Why I was in that car. Who I was with. What led to that event. But I met Jungkook who is related to the person who was driving, and ever since we have been trying to find out what happend."
"You poor thing, but... What exactly does that do with us?" She asked confused looking to her husband who only ate cookies in silence.
"Well we believe that the person who was driving had been doing horrible things to Taehyung. But also theres a chance another person was included. Were you two here 4 years ago a week before christmas?"
"I was the only one here." Her husband finally spoke looking at Taehyung with guilty eyes. The old man felt guilty looking at him.
"I'm sorry Taehyung."
"What for sir?"
"A boy told me there was someone else stuck in the cabin, that you even helped him escape. But at that moment I was just worried about him." He replied while his wife only rubbed his back to comfort him.
"This is Yugyeom sir, is this the boy you met?"
"Yes... My has he grown up. We only talk to him every so often. My wife and I took care of him till a couple months ago when we decided to move back to South Korea."
"My husband and I used to live in Japan to get away from here in fear who ever hurt him would come back. The poor boy was an orphan."
Taehyung was crying, not ugly sobbing but silent tears rolled down his tan face. A headache formed causing him to clutch his head in his hands.
Glimpses of Yugyeom face as he helped him out a window came back in a flood.
Him telling the younger boy to go.
Him taking a beating for letting Yugyeom escape.
Vomit came up but he swallowed it pushing himself to remember more, to figure out anything else he could.
But like just how it was there the memories were gone in a flash.
"Do you know where he lives in Japan?" Mark asked typeing away on his laptop trying to respond quickly to the boy online.
"We can give you his address, he will be willing to talk to you most likely. He's been waiting for this moment. When we tried to bring it to the police he claimed that one of them had connections meaning even if he told the police everything nothing would happen."
Jaebum looked at Youngjae before his boyfriend nudged him to look at Taehyung who had his eyes firmly shut.
"Thank you for helping us. We truly do want to find whoever this second person involved is."
A creak in the floorboards startled Jungkook, out the cornor of his eye he saw a teenage girl in a night gown.
"Sooya come here dear."
She stepped foreward with curious eyes standing next to where the older lady sat.
"Sooya is a North Korean refugee we took in the last year of Yugyeom staying with us."
"Have you guys talked to Yugyeom?"
"Only a bit not much more than a couple words." Mark replied to the curious girl who seemed to have an intrest im Yugyeom.
"He told me about everything, about Taehyung more importantly."
"About me?"
"Yes. He called you Hyung and said you were the only reason he didn't go crazy. He's been trying to find you for the past two years." She said looking at Taehyung who was staring at his hands, she walked slowly towards him kneeling down infront him taking ahold of his shakey tan hands.
"Yugyeom thanks you from the bottom of his heart, neved forget how heroic you are for saving him."
But how can you forget something you don't remember?

The plot thickens but guess which boys are going to Japan in the next chapter....
