Chapter 11-Mission Is A Go

  ~Baby's P.O.V.~

  The doors swung open and in came a drunk old man...wait what? "These kids are supposed to be ninjas and protect me?" He slurred. "Team 7, This is Tazuna. He is a master bridge builder from the land of waves. He needs to get back home and you will protect him from thieves," the Hokage explained.

  "These brats are ninjas? I mean look at the short one with the stupid grin on his face and the little girl with the pigtails," Tazuna slurred. I knew exactly who he was talking about and was tempted to shoot my claw at him. Naruto realized what the bridge builder had said and started to run towards him.

  Kakashi reached and stopped him. "Naruto, we're supposed to protect our client not harm him," Kakashi said. I glared at the bridge builder which caused my faceplates to twitch. The Hokage looks at me in an alarming way and so did Naruto.

  Naruto walked over and grabbed my hand which managed to calm me down. The Hokage continued and we eventually left to pack for the trip. I left the Hokage Tower with Kakashi and headed home. He packed weapons and clothes while I stood next to the door and waited.

  "You have everything?" Kakashi asked. I nodded my head and we walked to the bridge that we met on before. Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Tazuna were all there waiting. I speed up my pace and stand by Naruto who is literally vibrating with excitement. We all start to walk out of the village and on our way to the Land of Waves.

  "Why are you so happy, Naruto?" Sakura asks when she notices his overly happy mood. This is normal for me. "This is my first time out of the village!!" He almost yells. "Are you sure that kid can protect me?" Tuzana asks. "Don't worry Tuzana," Kakashi says. "I'm a Jounin (Is that how it's spelled?) and this is a C-rank mission so we won't have many battles," Kakashi assures him.

  After Kakashi said that, Tuzana's mood changed and he looked to be hiding something. He's lying. I feel it. I hate liers. I feel my eyes shift to that empty blackness that happens when I'm angry. I quickly look down so no one notices and try and calm down. My face plates shift and I can finally look up. When I do, Sakura is asking questions about ninjas in the Land of Waves.

  As they talk, I feel like I'm being watched and look over to the trees. There is movement. Someone, someone dangerous, is watching us. I keep the information to myself but I feel as if Kakashi knows about our little stalker. The team and I walk a few feet further and I see a puddle on the ground.

  It hasn't rained in weeks, how could there be a puddle on the ground? I heighten my scenes and see that the so-called puddle is reaking of life. Transformation jutsu. I look to Kakashi and then he noticed it too. Continuing to be silent, I walk around the puddle, not sure if it could still rust me.

  After a few feet, I hear the sound of movement coming towards us. Kakashi mostly. I turn around to warn him, but before a word could leave my mouth, Kakashi is wrapped in chains and pulled apart. The others see this and are horrified, but I can still feel Kakashi's life force a little bit away.

  I quickly got into action along with Sasuke and Sakura. Sakura, because of her low fighting skills, stood in front of Tazuna to protect him. The two large men that appeared used chains as weapons started to fight me and Sasuke. One went for him and the other went for me.

  I pulled out a kunai and stood in a defensive position.  The man charged for me and I quickly moved out of the way. They continue to run. I look past him only to see a still stunned Naruto. The thought of him in danger pulled me into kill mode. My face plates twitched and my eyes went a soulless black.

  I quickly moved in front of Naruto and did nothing. The man looked hesitant and scared to approach me but kept moving forward anyway. He reached us and swung a kunai in the right spot to cut Naruto's hand. He is hurt. I won't let him be hurt anymore!

  I put my hand on his chest and he flung back at the twitch of my finger. He fell onto the ground and as quick as he could, stood back up. Sasuke had tied the man he was fighting to a tree. All three of them watched as I stood protectively in front of Naruto with lifeless eyes and twitching like a madman. But that's what I am.

            Lifeless and insane.

            A Soulless Monster.

            That's all I'll ever be.

            I want help...

           You don't know what I
           went through.

           And no one ever will.

           He can't hurt anyone
           anymore.

           I won't let the people
           I care about be hurt
           Anymore.

  I came back to reality to see Kakashi have a headlock around both men. My twitching died down and my emerald green eyes came back into view. "I'm proud of all of you, Sakura, Sasuke, Baby. All of you did great on quick thinking, "Kakashi said as he tied the two to a tree.

  Kakashi walked over to Naruto who had been helped up by Sasuke. "Naruto let me see your hand," Kakashi said. Naruto lifted up his and let Kakashi see the damage. "Yep, Naruto those claws you were scratched with were lined with poison.

  Naruto's eyes widened at the words. Naruto looked down at his hand gravely. "Why?" He muttered. "Why is it always me!?" He yelled angrily. He made a great speech about being better and stabbed his hand. He bled which caused the poison to leave his body. He looked cool for a minute and then Kakashi ruined it.

  "Naruto, how you got the poison out was cool and all, but if you don't stop the bleeding, you'll die," he said. Naruto then started to panic. After bandaging up Naruto, we continued on our journey to the Land of Waves... not knowing what was ahead.

Hey guys! Sorry, it took a while to upload. I've been loaded with school work and Piano practice. I'm trying to work out a schedule and I'm really lazy so I might upload when I want, or when I  think it's been too long. Anyways...
