Chapter 4~A Team Together

I woke up again with the stupid sun on my face. Ugh! I hate sunlight! I thought to myself. As I climbed out of bed, I got ready for the day. My normal routine followed; which consisted of nothing but walking down the stairs and onto the couch.

I sat here thinking about the test and what team I might be on. But my mind was on Naruto. Did he pass? or Will we are on a team together? My mind raced so fast which only caused me to become frustrated.

I sighed and looked at the clock. It was time to leave. I stood up and walked out the door. I trudged down the street until I was groped by a pair of strong, yet small, arms. I panicked, but soon realized who it was. Naruto smiled a large smile. "Hello Baby~," he said with a cheeky grin. "Hi Naruto," I replied.

"What's got you so happy this morning?" I asked him. "Well I didn't pass yesterday, but I got another shot and I passed," he said. "I'm so happy Naruto!" I said as I stopped walking, turned around, and hugged him. His cheeks formed a tint of pink.

We walked and chatted for the rest of the way to the academy. When we entered the classroom, some eyes went to Naruto. "Naruto this is for people who passed," Shikamaru smirked lazily. "Don't you see this headband, I did pass!" Naruto retorted.
Shikamaru just scoffed and put his head on his desk. "Come on Naruto let's sit," I said tugging on his sleeve. He looked at me and nodded. Naruto and I just talked while waiting for Iruka-sensei to show up.

He finally showed up. "Hello. Starting today all of you are a ninja," Iruka said. I saw Naruto gleam with joy. He has always wanted to be the greatest Hokage. I do believe he can do it. I have faith and, for a heartless, murdering robot, that faith is special.

Iruka went on about how we would be put into a group of three, but one team would have four due to the uneven numbers. We would also have a sensei. I hope I'm on a team with Naruto.

Iruka started naming off who would be in a group together. I zoned out until I heard team 7. "Team 7, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno," at this Naruto jumped for joy and Sakura was mumbling how she was doomed, "Sasuke Uchiha," then Naruto and Sakura switched, "and Baby" he finished. Naruto looked at me beaming with happiness, I returned the gesture with the same.

I heard duck-butt scoff at my name. I turned to him. "What? Sad that you are no longer the strongest on the team?" I asked smugly. He just looked away. "Iruka-sensei, why does someone as awesome as I have to be on a team with someone as lame as Sasuke?!" Naruto asked angrily with a pout. "Because Naruto, you had the lowest scores and Sasuke had the second highest," Iruka stated firmly.

Sasuke looked up. "Who had the highest?" He asked. "Baby," Iruka answered with a small smile. I looked over to Sasuke and said, "Told ya." I smirked. He growled and looked away.

Everything died down, but now I felt as if I was being watched. When I looked at the corner of the class I saw a ball, but I seemed to be the only one to notice it.

~At the Hokage's office~

The Hokage sat in his office with all the soon-to-be-sensei. "The nine tail, the Uchiha survivor, a regular girl, and wait who is the forth?" One of them piped up. "Her name is Baby" the Hokage answered. "Baby really?" another asked.

"Yes really. She came from a very far away place, and is very special," the Hokage said. "What's so special about her? She looks normal," one said. (I can't remember who said what!) "Looks can be deceiving..." the Hokage tried off. All of them looked to the Hokage confused. "She might even be stronger than the tailed beasts..." the Hokage thought aloud. Everyone's eyes widened.

"Stronger than that the beasts, no way!" one said. All of a sudden, Baby looked over to the Hokage and the senseis; she knew they were there. "Can she see us?" Someone asked. "It wouldn't surprise me," the Hokage chuckled and shook his head.

"Who's gonna be the sensei of this team anyways?" Someone asked. "That would be Kakashi," the Hokage smiled. All eyes turned to the back of the room and stood there was the amazing sensei himself...Kakashi Hatake.

~Back at the classroom~

Iruka continued to call teams until he dismissed us to lunch. I walked out and then to the tree that I first ate lunch with Naruto at. I climbed it and got comfy on a branch. I was bored so I decided to sing.

(Stop at 4:00)

When the melody ended, clapping started. I looked around and I found Kakashi. "Nice song," he said, "where did you hear it?"

"Made it up," I truthfully said while looking away. "Is it about your past?" He asked seriously. I nodded and jumped out of the tree and headed to the classroom.

I walked in, the melody of my song still stuck in my head, sat in a seat, put my head down, and continued to hum my song. "Hey Baby, why so glum?" I heard someone ask. I looked up and came face to face with Sakura. "Oh hey Sakura," I said.

"I'm just tired is all," I lied. In reality, I was wondering how everyone was doing back home. Like if they missed me, or if they were still going through all of the torture.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by Naruto yelling. "HE'S LATE!!" the blonde screeched. He then pulled a chair over to the door and started to place a chalkboard eraser, filled with chalk dust might I add, over the door and it's frame. "Naruto, what are you doing?!" Sakura sounded panicked, "we'll get in trouble!" Yep, she's panicked.

"It's his fault he's late, and this is what he gets," Naruto protested. I started to hear footsteps coming down the hall and looked over my team. Sasuke seemed bored sitting at a desk, Sakura was yelling at Naruto near the door, Naruto was waiting anxiously for his little prank to work, and I was watching amused in a desk at the back of the classroom.

The door was pushed open and the eraser fell on the victim's head. I looked from the top of the door to the person standing in the doorway. It was Kakashi. "It worked!" Naruto boomed. "I'm so sorry Sensei!" Sakura apologized. "I tried to stop him but he didn't listen," she explained.

Kakashi looked at all of us and said, "My first impression of all of you is...you're all idiots" he said boldly. "Well hello to you too, Kakashi,", I said with a smirk. He looked at me.

"Yes. Hello to you too, Baby" he said, and by his tone of voice, I could tell he was smirking. "Wait you know each other?" Sakura asked. I simply nodded. "Meet me on the roof", Kakashi ordered and then poofed away. The rest of the team looked in surprise while I looked indifferent. Getting up, I started to walk to the roof with the rest of my team. Time to meet the sensei, I thought with a smile.
