♡Baby's P.O.V.♡
Sakura and I sat perched on the side of the bridge. Men walked around carrying things to build the bridge. "Where's that annoying kid and the one with the attitude?" Tuzana asked us.
Sakura looked up at him explaining how they were training. Tuning them out, I watched the waves roll onto the beach. Naruto then came to mind. The vibrant blue color of the sea reminded of his eyes.
I remember how saddened those eyes were when we first met. His surprise to me asking to be his friend broke my heart even to this day. It fills me with joy to bring a smile to his lips as I kiss him.
"You're quitting on me now?!" Tuzana's angered voice broke into my thoughts. Looking over, I saw an unfamiliar man talking to the angry Tuzana. "The only reason I was working on this bridge for as long as I was, happened to be because of our friendship. I've decided I've risked my life for too long."
Sighing, Tuzana alerted the other men of a lunch break. He turned back to the other man. "Don't bother coming back to work after lunch." With that, he walked off.

Back at the house, we all sat around the full table with bowls of soup and rice sitting in front of each of us. "I don't think we've had so many guests!" Tuzana happily said, laughing. He had gotten into a better mood after we made it back home for the day. It was now dinner time and I could see the hunger on everyone's faces.
Naruto and Sasuke shot looks at each other. They had been this way ever since training ended for them. I could only guess they had started a rivalry game between the two on the field. They then suddenly began to stuff their faces quickly. If they keep this up, they'll get sick, I thought with a small giggle. Shoveling soup then taking a bite of the roll, Naruto repeated this as if it were a routine.
Taking the last bit of food into their gullet, Naruto and Sasuke both, simultaneously, raised their bowls asking for more. Their eyes flashed to each other with glares as their expressions. Before refilling their dishes, they hunched over and regurgitated their dinner.
"Why eat so much if you're going throw it up?!" Sakura yelled in confusion. I couldn't help but agree with her. "I've gotta continue to eat..." Sasuke mumbled. He seemed out of breath and still wanting to continue. They must have really worked out during training, I thought with a sad smile.
"I've got to eat more than him. How else will I get strong enough to beat him..." Naruto grumbled. Oh Naruto, I giggled. Kakashi smiled at the two's rivalry. "That is true," he began, "but throwing it back up is not the same thing."
I nodded my head before looking down at my food. It sat untouched. "What about you, Baby?" Sakura began with concern, "you've hardly touched your food." I looked up at her with a smile. It was nice to have her worry over me but it was also completely unnecessary.
"I'm not hungry," I said, trying my best at a truthful smile. It seemed to only fool her, Tsunami, Inari, and Tuzana. Naruto and Sasuke knew why I didn't eat, but Kakashi continued to give me strange looks. It would only make sense for a Jounin to not be fooled by the lying smile of a Genin.
Uninterested in the rest of the conversation, I stood up. Looking at my sensei, I spoke. "I'll be walking around outside," leaving my stuff where it was, I walked outside. Once out the door, I could feel my red hair being blown by the wind. The night sky was riddled with twinkling stars.
I remember being five years old and amazed by the bright lights that seemed to hang by invisible strings. Michael once told me the angels were the ones to hang up news stars every night. He would spill little stories of how the earth was carved by giants and how fairies painted the colors of the world. He told me ghosts were the ones to cause accidents and play jokes on people.
Looking at myself now, I can't help to believe him. My thoughts ran wild of dreams of the past that were lost before my attention was drawn to the banging of the front door. Looking over, I saw Inari running out of it crying. He made it to the tree line of the forest before crouching down a sobbing.
It broke my heart to hear him cry. I then remembered the time Vincent came into my room crying while holding his Foxy plushie. Its head had been torn off by Michael during one of his stupid jokes on Vinny. Michael was so sad after Vinny died.
I slowly walked over to Inari and sat down beside him. His dark brown eyes looked over at me before he launched his body into mine, bringing me into a crushing hug. I smiled before wrapping my arms around his waist and letting him cry in my shoulder. Once his tears dried up, I pushed him back. Looking him in the eyes, I smiled. This caused him to smile too.
An idea struck me and I stood up while grabbing Inari's hand. "Where are we going?" He asked. I felt excited. I hope he enjoys this surprise, I thought. Without looking at him, I said, "you'll see. It's a surprise."
Once in the clearing of the training grounds we used, I stopped and turned to him. "Inari," I began, "do you know what ice cream is?" I asked him. He shook his head in confusion. Opening my stomach, my claw brought of a perfectly made ice cream cone. After garbing it myself, I handed it to him.
He looked at me amazed. "Ho-How did you do that!?" He almost screamed. I giggled.
"It's magic."
