Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Kassidy? Babe are you there?"

"Yeah, what happened?" I sat up rubbing my head.

"Babe, you got hit. Pretty hard too."

"Wait. What?"

"I don't know Kassi. I didn't see it."

"I did," said a voice. It was my ex, Dylan.

"Who are you?" asked Matt.

"I'm her ex you little pussy. Who are you?"

Matt was kinda quiet. He just stood there and looked down and I felt bad.

"Shut the fuck up you bitch!" I shouted, "Don't you dare talk to my fucking boyfriend like that! Go back with your slutty ass girlfriend Ms. I Like Dick. Leave Matthew the fuck alone!" I shouted, "Fucking queer."

"Kass, ahahaha, oh Kass. Your boyfriend ain't got nothing on me. He's weak as shit. Just look at him!" said Dylan laughing.

I looked over at Matt. He was an emotional guy. When someone talks shit, he gets hurt.

"Dylan, I'm gonna tell you one more fucking time!" I said yelling, "Shut the fuck up! Like your not weak?! Your last fight, you lost! Think your such a bad ass? Test me. You can't do SHIT Dylan PUSSY Bryant! Matthew was a better boyfriend than you ever were! Now, get your head out of your ass. Why don't you bend over to suck your own dick?"

He just stood there and looked at Matt.

"Your DATING him?" he pointed at Matt.

"Yes, now leave."

He laughed and walked out.

I threw my head back and closed my eyes. I felt someone grasping me. I opened my eyes and it was Matthew.

"Matt, what are you doing?"

"I couldn't help but thank you."

"What?"

"You stood up for me," he said smiling,

"Thank you Kassidy."

"Aw Matt."

I hugged him back and we kinda just stayed in that position. Hugging.

"I'm so glad you're alive Kass."

"Why? How long was I gone out for?"

"Well, your doctor said you were in a coma. He said it was a 90/100 chance that you'd make it. Plus, you were gone for two weeks."

I broke the hug, "Two weeks?!"

He nodded and I pulled him in to hug me. He was crying in my shoulder. I felt him shaking and I felt his warm tears on my t-shirt.

I hugged him tighter and he kissed my cheek.

"I love you so much Kassidy. I was scared that I had lost you and I'm not ready for that time."

Taylor, Nash, Hayes, and the boys walked in with flowers, a crown, and Jack J. brought me a huge teddy bear and Jack G. brought me a bag of Takis and a bunch of candy.

Aaron sat on the side of the bed, "Hey Kassi, how are you feeling?"

"Good, thanks Aaron."

He came over and hugged me.

"Hey Kass."

"Hey Hayes."

He walked over and hugged me.

"I'm glad you're okay," he said. He hugged me tighter. Like I was his sister.

"Guess you got a little TOO buckwild," Taylor had said. I laughed and motioned him to hug me.

Nash, Cam and the others greeted me with hugs.

"So when are they letting you outta here?" asked Cameron.

"I'm not sure."

The nurse walked in, "Excuse me everyone," she was pushing through the group, "Alright Kassidy. Dr. Mitchell said he'll let you out today at 4:40."

"What time is it?"

"2:34." she replied.

"Matt, help me out," I reached my hands out and he pulled me into a hug.

"Get a room!" shouted Nash.

The entire group was laughing.

I walked into the bathroom to change.

I threw on an oversized tee, black yoga pants, fuzzy socks, and uggs. I put my hair up in a bun and wrapped a white bandana around my head.

Someone was knocking on the door.

"Kass, you ready?"

"Yeah hold on."

I was limping to the door because my hip was bruised.

I opened the door and saw Matt sitting on the bed.

"What's up?" I asked.

"Nothing, just glad you woke up," he said.

"Oh," I sat down next to him, reaching to hold his hand.

We looked out at the skyline, where the sun was setting.

I rested my head on his shoulder and he kissed my forehead.

"It feels like it's been forever since I've known you, but it's only been a few days," he whispered.

"I know," I whispered back.

We kinda just sat there, quietly.

Jill walked in.

"Hey Kassidy, how you feelin'?" She set down a vase of flowers and mug full of hot chocolate.

"Thanks," I said.

"Mhm."

She walked out.

It was 7:46.

"Miss? It's time for you to go," a nurse had said.

Me and Matt went to pack my stuff.

"Alright, let's go," he said, "Do we have to sign you out?"

"I think so," I said.

•••••|•••••

We took the elevator down to the lobby and held hands all the way down.

Matt was rolling my suitcase and I was carrying my purse.

"Signing out for Kassidy Perez," said Matt.

"Alright," the nurse said, "$500 fee please." She held out her hand.

"$500?" Matt asked.

"Yup."

"Jesus Christ," Matt said reaching into his wallet, "Here."

•••••|•••••

We got to the parking structure and Matt unlocked his car and put the heater on.

Matt grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"My Princess," he said, "I love you."

"I love you too, Prince Matthew."

I kissed his cheek and he turned on 'Young Girls' by Bruno Mars and I fell asleep still holding his hand.
