Kassidy's POV

•••••|•••••

I woke up to Matt laying down, facing me. I tried to slip out of bed without waking him up.

"Mm mmm," he groaned.

"Matt, I'm gonna make breakfast," I whined.

"Fine," he mumbled.

I got out of bed and stretched. I walked over to his side and kissed his cheek. I had to hop into the shower because I hadn't taken one last night. I walked into the bathroom and decided that I was gonna go for a run today. I took a shower and washed my hair. The warm water hit my scalp and let off some tension.

Then I thought of Dylan and everything that happened last night. I couldn't help but frown.

"Life Isn't A Fairytale" is always in my head.

Kim was right, she's always right.

"Life's a bitch, then you die" was in my head too. That came from my mom.

They were all right.

Life isn't about finding your Prince Charming and marrying him. Life has consequences. Bad, good, simple, and difficult. Life is full of fakes and the world is full of fucked up people. Everything is fucked up basically. Nothing is as simple as you want it to be, and sometimes, life isn't a jar of Nutella, soft and creamy, life is full of rough bumps and one day, you'll get over them.

I got out of the shower and wrapped my hair up, along with my body. I opened the door and Matthew is looking through his phone.

"What's the plan today?" I asked.

"Surprise," he smirked.

I rolled my eyes and put on some yoga pants, a sports bra, a low cut muscle tee, and my cheerleading shoes.

"Where are YOU going?"

"I'M gonna make make breakfast and go for a run."

"Alright."

Matt got out of bed and went to take a shower, "I'll meet you downstairs, Kassidy."

"Okay!" I shouted.

I walked downstairs with my phone in hand. I unwrapped my hair and put it in a high ponytail.

I got out the pots and pans, bowls and plates, and utensils. I went to the fridge and got out eggs, milk, sausage, and creme. I went to the pantry and got out bread, Nutella, pancake mix, jam, and cereal. I set everything out on the island and started the stove. I put two pans on the stove and one pot. I took one of the big bowls and poured pancake mix in it and mixed it with milk. I was planning on making crepes so as soon as I finished mixing, I put the bowl in the fridge.

I pulled out some eggs and made sunny side up and scrambled. Matt liked his scrambled. I took out a few slices of breads and made toast. I put the little sausages in the pan and tossed them around.

"Hey beautiful," Matt says hugging me from behind, "Smells good."

"Thanks," I say, pecking his lips.

He sits down at the island and watches me.

"What?" I ask.

"Oh nothing," he replied, resting his head on his hand.

"Alright! Everything's done," I say smiling.

I set everything on the island and served Matt a plate, along with my plate.
