Me: *makes a chapter saying I won't be able to upload to frequently*
Also me: *starts uploADING RIGHT AFTER POSTING IT*
In all seriousness, though, I got a request right after posting that so yeah. I'm still moving, however.
(Sorry it took so long! I swear I'll try harder next time! Thanks!)I was thankful for Ricky taking care of me as I hunched over the toilet, vomiting as I had been for almost five minutes.
It was absolute hell going through this but Ricky was the sweetest person ever. He promised me he'd help me however he could, admitting he felt responsible for what had happened. Although he claimed he was looking forward to a kid that we'd raise together.
After I finished regurgitating my insides, he helped me to my feet and walked me back to the lounge room, laying me down on the couch. 'Thank you...' I wheezed.
'Don't worry about it. Let's just focus on you. Oh, hey, look at your tummy!' He pointed out excitedly, noticing that my stomach had begun to grow already. 'He's eager to escape his confines.'
'She has to wait a bit longer.' I snickered before hearing a knock at the door. 'Could you please-'
'No need to ask. I'll get it.'
I thanked him before watching as he happily made his way over to the door, brushing Daria's fur off his jeans before opening it. 'What're you doing here?'
'Please forgive me...I'm begging you, I didn't know who (Y/n) was. Please let me try again.' I could recognise Chris' voice but I didn't have the strength to get up and see him. Instead, I listened closely.
'After all the shit you said? It won't be that easy.'
'Then let me make it up to her. Please, I will get on my knees and beg if I have to. I won't let my soulmate go through this alone.'
Ricky looked back at me, looking for a sign of what to do. I nodded, and he slowly looked back at Chris before crossing his arms.
'Fine. (Y/n) is getting an ultrasound at 2:00. You will take her there and she can decide what happens next, but if you hurt her in any way I will skin you alive.'The whole experience was quite uncomfortable. Chris drove us to the hospital in silence, only speaking when the doctor asked him if he was the father, to which he stuttered uncontrollably until I said yes. After the procedure was done, the doctor popped off to grab the print-out, leaving the two of us alone momentarily. I wasn't sure if I should've said something, but luckily, I didn't have to. '...I'm sorry for all the shit that's happened...'
I averted my eyes from the screen in front of me to look over at him, noticing how he nervously stared straight at me. '...you did nothing wrong...' I replied.
'But I did...I just ran away from everything after I woke up...I left you to go through this by yourself...'
'Neither of us planned for this to happen...even when we were together...' It honestly hurt to say that, but he immediately corrected me.
'If I had known you were my soulmate, I would've stuck around! I don't want whatever we had to end because I lost my memory...I want to try again. (Y/n),' he paused, reaching forward and taking my hands in his, 'will you please take me back?'
I felt my chest flutter, the glow in my heart flickering slightly before gently shining through my shirt. 'Of course I will...'
'Sorry about the wait,' The doctor apologised, stepping back into the room and sitting down on her chair beside the bed I laid on, 'I have the ultrasound images here, would you like to know the sex of the baby?'
'Yes, please.' I muttered, growing slightly shy.
'Well congratulations, you're going to give birth to a perfectly healthy baby boy. Do you have any names picked out yet?' She asked, helping me sit up.
'I think Lockhart it a cool name.' Chris chimed in, smiling subtly as I tried to get myself off the gurney. He wrapped his arm around my waist, helping me to my feet whilst the doctor expressed her liking of the name.
'Where did you find that name?'
'It was from a movie that Chris used to always watch, "A Cure For Wellness". The movie sucked but I always loved the name.' I snickered before suddenly being hit with a wave of nausea. I placed one hand back on the gurney to hold myself up while my other hand gripped his shirt, a distinct sickness burning in my gut. 'I-I feel sick...'
'Here,' The doctor quickly grabbed a sick bag from a rack that was bolted to the wall and passed it to me. I took deep breaths before the nausea lightened up slightly, but not completely. 'I'll go get a nurse to help you out...'
'N-No, its okay...I'm fine...' I insisted, picking myself back up but almost falling down. Chris, however, slipped his arm around me to keep me upright before apologising to the doctor.
'Don't worry, I'll take her back to the car. Thank you so much.'
