Realisation

Ella's POV

The realisation that they have been following me for months scared me. My bodyguards were all taken down so easy with no real sound I didn't even hear him approach me. Thank goodness my bodyguards were only injected and not killed by this mad man. Derek felt so bad so angry at himself for leaving me unprotected I told him several times that I was protected but my bodyguards never saw it coming. Christian insisted that my new bodyguards are ex military. I now have some of Charlies ex military mates who he trusted with his life as my bodyguards now. So now I have 5 bodyguards, Derek refused to leave my sight until I was in the arms of Christian I really felt bad for him it wasn't his fault, but the guilt was something I could not erase for him. So Derek and Alex were my number one bodyguards standing within 50 metres of me, Alex was always serious he was never one to joke with me and unfortunately that was rubbing off on Derek. Derek was always so serious about my schedule when I go to boardroom meetings when I go with Christian to charity events he was becoming such a bore. Alex was a build solid man who was about the same age as Dwayne late twenties. Then there was Ryan and Paul who were the same physique as Alex with buzz cuts they didn't talk much they just nodded at me as a greeting every morning and the odd occasionally Hi. Then there was Dean and Bryan who I never spoke to because I never saw them they were always hidden amongst the crowd, I just knew they were there.
Every morning we held a meeting with everyone at breakfast about my schedule I was getting abit sick of it, but it was more for Christian and Dereks benefit than for my own.

We were sitting in the car while Charlie drove.
"Baby are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm just sick of all of this protection I hate that I have no real freedom to go outside to read a book or sit under a tree and have a picnic its so precise so to schedule"
"I know baby but you are my first prority and I'm not going to let anything happen to you" he kissed me on the head.  I felt defeated that no matter what I say this was my life now.

I was working away when I received a call from Christian asking me to join him in his office. So me and my minions (my bodyguards Derek, Alex, Ryan and Paul) caught the elevator to Christians office. I passed Shirley and smiled. When I approached his office I knocked and walked in, there standing by his desk was detective Sam Curtis.
"Hello Ella nice to see you again"
"Oh hi"
"I hope you don't mind but I wanted to inform you about a few things"
"Um sure but we have solved the mystery of who ran me off the road, so how can I help you now?"
"Well I am going to be on your case for a while longer as Christian called me about your death threats and he has been keeping me up to date. Now I understand there is still a threat against your life so I will be around until the criminal is brought to justice."
"Oh right" I said
"I wanted to see you to explain we have the information about the man that was killed in your office the other day. We have a full profile on him. He starts pulling out files and photos as he explains His name is Jayden George 27 year old man from the Bronx has been in and out of prison but last association was with Dereks uncle Joe."
"Oh" I nodded
All I could think about was the tattoo he had was it associated to Joe?
"Question he had a tattoo with a dragon with claws surrounded by an A. What does it mean or is it even associated with Joe?"
"Actually the A stands for Joes gang of hired Assassin's. His gang was called the Assassin's 3. So gangs would call for an outsider to a job for them and Joe would send in one of his own trained assassins to do the job. Joe would allow a certain amount of deaths before you were inked as his assassin, if you failed he killed you. And once you were in the only way out was death. Either by your hand or someone elses. He also trained them in the art of revenge so if anything was to happen to him his silent partner would kill you himself but we are still at a lost as to who his silent partner is. There have been a few targeted hits since Joes death so whoever this silent partner is, he or she is much more deadlier than Joe"
"Shit" said Christian and Derek at the same time.
This was a lot to process. So I now have a target my head.
"Theres something else Sam pulls out the photo of Jayden tattoo we have since learned that the claws on the dragon represents how deadly of an assassin you were 2 claws represent a rookie so you only did small hits they would target drug addicts and children mostly 3 claws meant you were an experienced assassin they would target and plan killings, they could kill a drug lord or gang leaders with just a hairpin"
I looked closer at the photo oh my god Jayden was a experienced assassin, how many more would now be coming after me. This chilled me to my core, I'm not sure if I can protect myself and my family from this threat. This could potentially end the life of the ones I loved. I looked around the room I looked at Derek he gave me a small smile to show it was going to be okay, my family are my world and if I lost them I don't think I could continue living without them. They are my everything when the time comes I will sacrifice myself for them no matter what. I looked at Christian and one single tear fell.
