I glanced at the clock. 3:29. Only twenty more minutes till Kian picked me up from school and the celebration could begin. I played on my phone till I saw Kian's car. I heard the usual gasps and groans and jealousy sounds coming from every girl as I got in Kian's car. I smiled and pecked his lips.
"Happy Birthday bubba." I said. "What's that? The fifty-eighth time today?" He asked, laughing. "Maybe. I'm just happy I can be with you on your birthday." I said. "Jc and them wanted me to come to Cali to celebrate my birthday with them." He said. I went silent. This wasn't a surprise. I saw this coming.
"Hey. Where'd my bubbly basket case girlfriend go?" He asked. "Are you gonna go?" I asked. "I thought about it. I didn't want to travel all that way without you. And I know your parents won't let you go. Plus your education is important to me. I thought about asking them to come here, and then I figured I'd ask you first." He said. "I don't know Kian. It's your birthday, and I'd truly love to be alone with you, but I'm not gonna be that selfish girlfriend." I said. "Who said that's what you would be? Maybe I'd think it's sweet that you want that." He said. I shrugged and still stayed quiet. "Madison. You're not worried about Franny coming right?" He asked.
There was no way in hell I was answering that. I swallowed hard and looked out the window. "Baby. What've I told you about me and Franny. We're nothing more than friends. You're the only girl that I think about. And you should know you're always on my mind." He said. I sighed. "I guess you're right." I said. He smiled.
"Do I ask them if they want to come?" He asked. I bit my lip. "Can they come on Saturday? Like later in the day Saturday?" I asked. He nodded. "Sure. I'm sure I can arrange that." He said. I smiled. "I just want tonight and most of tomorrow alone." I said. "That's understandable." He said. I smiled.
We went home and we chilled and played wii and yelled at each other when one messed the other person up. All of our Mario Kart screaming matches ended in play fights and laughing. Later, we went out to dinner and ate. Kian got noticed, per usual. We then drove back out to those woods we went to the day after our vacation and ran around with nothing but the moonlight for sight. Our screams echoed throughout the night.
We ran around and screamed like crazies. We lit some sparklers and fireworks and made hearts in the air with the sparks. "I really don't want an easy girl. I want a crazy girl and I'm glad I got one. You honestly bring the party with you." He said. "You light me up like nobody else babe." I said. He smiled. "Madison." "Yeah?" "I love you." He said. The first time. "I love you too." I said. And I meant it.
We ran around some more and then went and picked up a cake and bunch of other desserts. We smashed like half of it in each other's faces and ate the other half.
"I've had the best birthday ever thanks to you." He said. I smiled. "Hey Kian." "Yeah." "You've got some cake in your eyebrows."
