Kian and I had been chilling at home watching Real Housewives since we had nothing better to do. It went to commercial break just as the doorbell rang. I got up and walked to the door. I opened to reveal Eli Carden. My ex-boyfriend.

"Hey sweetheart, miss me?" I shuddered at the thought. "Eli what in the hell are you doing here? I thought you were still in prison." "Let me out early if I promised not to go back to my old ways. They'll believe anything."

Eli Carden and I dated three and a half years ago. He had the whole bad boy persona. That's just who he was. He did drugs, drank, vandalized anything he was, and much more. He was locked up at age 17 for all of it. They went easy on him because of his age. Now he was out of jail apparently.

"I told you I'd come back for you. And I intend to make good on that promise." His sinister ways were the one of the many things I grew to hate about him. Jai warned me about him, though you should have figured out by now, that I didn't listen.

"Babe who's at the door?" Kian walked up beside me. "May I help you?" "You can start by backing away from what I claimed four years ago." I couldn't believe Eli would say that. Actually, I could. "What you claimed?" I didn't expect that to be Kian's reaction. "Yes it's mine. She's been mine for four years." "Eli shut up and leave! I didn't love you then, nor will I ever." I slammed the door shut and locked it in as many ways possible.

"Who was that guy babe?" I explained the whole thing to Kian. Everything. It was a very long story. Ivan walked in from the pool. "I thought I heard Eli Carden's voice." I sighed. "He came back for what he claimed." Ivan shook his head. "I knew that guy was bad news from the day I first saw him." I nodded. Ivan and Jai were both right.

"I know. I just, I didn't think he'd actually come back for me. I figured he'd have forgotten about me by now." "That's where you're wrong pipsqueak. Eli Carden never forgets what's his. If he claimed it, it stays in his mind forever. He doesn't stop till he gets what he wants." "That's what I was afraid of. I wonder how far he'd actually go for me."

Ivan shrugged. "I don't know. Just be careful. You've figured it out by now that Eli can't be trusted." I nodded. I trusted Eli once upon a time. I sighed. I shouldn't have let myself fall for such a despicable and untrustworthy person. Eli was no good from the start, how could I have not seen it?

Kian pulled me on his lap. "Don't worry that pretty little mind about Eli. He doesn't come between us. Our love is too strong for such a weak minded individual." I nodded and his placed a soft kiss under my left ear. "You've got me babe. Right by your side. Forever and always."
