9. You what?!

Savannah's POV

I let out a sigh of relief, it was just Hayden. I slowly brought my hands back to myself and she raised her brow.

"What are you doing...?"

"Nothing..." I returned her suspicious look.

"Okay okay stop looking at me like that I kinda thought you were an intruder."

"Oh well clearly I'm not so you could keep that pen knife away." I chuckled and threw it in my drawer. "So back to what I came here for. Have you heard?"

"Heard what? What happened?"

"Bethany is dead."

"Oh," They must have found her real body and think the imposter is dead. No one even knows about that imposter besides me.

"Really? That's all you're going to say?"

"I- I'm just shook. How could she- how'd she die?"

In case you didn't know I'm a pretty good actor. Hehe *flips hair*

"I don't know."

"Yet you came all the way here to tell me about a death you know nothing of." I shook my head at her.

"No- I,  I know she died so that's something plus you can't exactly release information like death over the phone."

"Okay Okay I'm sorry. Does April know?"

"Yep."

"It's just so shocking you know, what do you think killed her?" I asked but I knew but she can't know that.

"Maybe some kind of animal but I don't really have a clue because what kind of person would be in the woods at a time like that."

"How do you feel about all this?" I asked.

"I don't know, I don't know how to feel." Then my phone beeped, signifying that I've gotten a text.

"That's understandable." I replied before unlocking my phone so see who messaged. It was a WhatsApp text from an unknown number. It had no profile picture nor a name, that's awfully strange.

Unknown:
Hey Savannah. Did you miss me?🙃

Savannah oh na na:
Hey
Who's this btw?

Unknown:
Did you hear about Bethany?
Obviously you did so you should know that I let them find me because I figured that wasn't a good look for me.

Holy s-

Savannah oh na na:
Look bitch I don't know who or what the hell you think you are but you need to stay away from me.

Unknown changed to Some psychotic asshole in contact list.

Then another message came in from her.

Some Psychotic Asshole:
You're not capable of doing a thing.
I'd take your body and get rid of you without a struggle.

"Savannah!"

"Yeah, yeah." I answered.

"You Okay? You look a little shocked."

"Don't worry about it. I'm fine." I gave her a little smile to reassure her before looking at my phone to her messages were deleted.

Haha too late

"Savannah we need to talk and you can't push me away this time."

"Ugh fine. What's this about?" I hoped it won't be about Cameron. I put my left hand behind me and crossed my fingers and began to chant 'Please don't be Cameron' in my head.

"It's about Cameron."

Ugh

"You guys need to get past whatever it is you're arguing about and won't tell us." she said.

"Did he walk in on you naked and didn't close his eyes or something?" she asked rhetorically as she laughed.

"Hayden!" I threw a pillow at her and laughed along with her.

"I'm serious though. Don't you know that I wish I had a childhood best friend that I could date. That'll be so friggin awesome and you've got that so I won't advise you to throw it away."

"You could date me." I said jokingly and added a wink.

"I'm quite fine with my single state, thankyouverymuch."

"What a great best friend you are." I said.

"I know right." she said as she flipped her short black hair. "Which is why I invited Cameron." she said in a cheery tone, doing jazz hands.

"You what?!!!"
