13: The pouring rain and my drowning thoughts

This chapter has a steamy kiss scene🙃 (in case you wanted to know) I might update next in like a week but if I get motivated it'll be earlier.

Savannah's POV
The perks of being a werewolf was that I had a super sense of hearing. I heard a scream which caused my head to jolt up from its previous position on  Cameron's shoulder and I noticed he heard it to, the scream sounded like Hayden. We both got up immediately and traced the sound and when we arrived at the spot where she was the principal joined us. I guessed he heard it to since his office was nearby. Our eyes took in the long trail of blood and then looked at Hayden.

Wasn't Chase here with her?

Cameron and I attended to Hayden who was currently struggling to speak. The principal told us to calm down and phoned an ambulance then announced that the school would be closed down for investigation.

The sounds that were prominent now were the siren sounds as they took Hayden into the ambulance. All the students had left the lunch hall with questioning looks on what they had occurred. April and I begged to go in but they didn't let us. Cameron and the nurses tried to assure us that she'd be okay but there was still a tiny doubt in my mind that scared me.

3 days later

We visited Hayden, she was responsive but she wasn't speaking so the doctor said to give her time and that after a while of therapy she would recover. We also visited her parents who had been struggling to keep calm with her state.

I, April and Cameron were in Cameron's jeep on the way to my house and it started to rain. Cameron didn't have an umbrella in his car so when he parked his car in my house, we had to run inside and we obviously got a little wet.

"You're here!" Alex greeted cheerfully while coming closer with her arms spread. I was about to hug her but she pushed me away and hugged April then gave Cameron a kiss on the cheek. I just stood in the corner just ya know observing her with my death glare.

"I made some hot chocolate for you guys." Alex said, putting the tray with four mugs of cocoa on the coffee table. We all grabbed a mug and watched some television in silence.

I took mine upstairs, closed the door and sat on my bed, lost in thought. My knees folded and my eyes fixed on the wall and then I thought about everything bothering me.

I felt my eyes switch because I was about to loose control so I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and they changed back to normal. I heard a banging sound at my door and it was Cameron.

Bang

"Hey baby. Can I come in?" I smiled a little at the nickname.

"Yeah sure, sure." I answered, trying to force a smile to cover up my true emotion. He walked in, taking in the view of my bedroom like he hasn't seen it before, then he plopped down next to me and looked at me.
