Savannah's POV
Song of the Chapter: Adventure by Cheat Codes.
"Is that all ladies?" the cute waiter asked.
"Yeah. That is unless you'd like something." April winked and the waiter blushed before leaving.
"Wait let's go over this again. You're going out on a full moon at night?" Hayden said.
"Yes, I'm pretty sure the moon has always been out at night and haven't I said that already." I rolled my eyes for the hundredth time today. We were at Stripes, a diner we usually go to hang out sometimes and now that I think of it the name is kind of weird because the only thing related to stripes is the wallpaper, the waiters and waitresses don't even wear stripes.
"April," she called out and April hummed in reply. "Interpretation please." she requested.
"Honey that clearly spells out romance. It's gonna be a romantic date," she said, spreading out her hands to draw out a rainbow.
"Ugh it's not like th-" I started saying.
"Think about it. Full moon, dark night out and let's not forget the privacy." She squealed and dragged the word privacy.
"But-"
"Hayden... Number two please," She shut me up once more.
Great.
"The location, also know as the woods." Hayden said.
"So?" I asked with a straight face.
"He obviously wants to show some manly skills because you'll definitely be scared." Hayden said, wiggling her eyebrows.
Oh Lord why me.
"He knows me better than that Hayden. I can take care of myself and what could I possibly be scared of."
"The wind, bugs or even wolves." Hayden said.
"Honey that's you." April said, laughing.
"I don't know what's funnier the fact that you think I'm afraid of the wind or you that you think we'd actually find a wolf out there."
"Hey! You never know." she defended.
Of course she'd say that.
"I'm still surprised that Cameron finally asked you out." Hayden squealed.
"He didn't ask me out. He was just trying to help out since he is one of my best friends." Seriously what would make them understand that.
"I know how bad it hurts to call him your best friend," April said, doing air quotes around the word 'best friend'. "But you don't need to worry because I know that the ship will sail because you know I've literally been shipping this for so long." she said.
"Shipping?" I asked.
"Please don't tell me you don't know what that means." April cried.
"Fine," I paused. "I won't tell you." I said, avoiding eye contact as I started to play with my fingers.
"Ugh it means she's like a die hard fan in the support of you and Cameron being together." Hayden explained.
"Oh..."
"You've got so much to learn." April said.

At the moment I was at April's house, my mom is working late so she isn't home so it's really lonely at home. Hayden would have joined in on our little sleepover but she had a project to do.
I took a long shower while April was busy breaking the record for the worlds longest phone call.
After I was done I threw on the pair of black skinny jeans, a worn out wine hoodie with the word "totally" on it and packed my hair up before I ran downstairs. "Do not tell me that's what you're wearing." she stated with shock.
"What's wrong with this? It'll be dark it's not like he'll be seeing much of me." I tried to convince her.
"You're not wearing that." She dragged me back upstairs. Ugh. I don't know why it's so easy to go down the stairs and so hard to get up.
A good forty minutes later which was shorter than usual, April had picked out a less embarrassing outfit for me which were her words not mine,
so now I had on my skinny jeans with a purple top which showed just a peak of my belly skin and a grey jacket, both which she had borrowed me since. She had made my natural hair look curlier and bolder than it was before. She also added a little, just a little bit of make up like lip gloss and mascara for reasons I do not know.
I smacked my lips together to rub in the clear lip gloss I'd applied. "I'm impressed with my work." she smirked looking at my reflection in the mirror.
"Well thanks even though an outfit change wasn't necessary."
She rolled her eyes. "When is Prince Charming getting here?"
I ignored her and just replied with. "Cameron should be here any minute now,"
The door bell rang and I waved April off then rushed downstairs. "I'm coming with you." she yelled after me.
I opened the door to meet a grinning Cameron. "What's got you all smiley?" I asked him.
"You obviously," April said, popping out of nowhere. We both nervously avoided eye contact and she noticed which caused her to aww.
"C'mon let's go," I said, grabbing his arm and dragging him to his car.
"Hey hey I'm very much capable of walking on my own," he complained.
"Then you should act like it," I mumbled.
"I know you missed me and knowing you you'll never admit it." he said and I could hear the teasing tone in his voice.
"I literally saw you seven hours ago so I'm sure what I was feeling then was relief.
"You and always denying things. Who knows, you might have gone crazy if I didn't get here when I did." he winked.
"You never run out of words, don't you? "I asked with a little smile etched on my face.
"Never. You're just too fascinating for me to." I held back a smile at his comment though I knew he couldn't see me in the dark.
