Chapter One-Diamond

"The element we need is on this planet," Allura says her face in the corner of everyone's lions. "It is a rare gem and then Galra is after it. We need to get it before them."

"Alright," Shiro says nodding before nose-diving down into the planet's atmosphere, followed by the other lions.

"So what exactly are we looking for?" Pidge asks looking at the clouds rush by.

"You're looking for five diamonds. Each the color of a lion." Allura answers. "We tracked down a few here and we believe that they're hidden in some of the caves here."

"Well, then I guess we'll have to split up," Shiro says.

They all nod before flying off in different directions.

Shiro dives down and lands on a mountain a small hill in front of him with an opening leading further into the mountain.

He exits his lion and walks over the rocky surface of the planet and enters the cave, climbing down the steep slope towards the bottom where he could see nothing but darkness. He reaches the bottom of the pit and walks over to a wall where a black diamond was. He places his hand on the diamond and pulls it out.

Kieth lands his lion before turning and exits it. He looks up at the towering mountain above him and wide opening in the side. He walks into the cave. It had a flat surface until it led into darkness. He walks into the cave and heads further down it until he steps off a cliff and falls towards a faint red glow.

Hunk dives down towards the cave in the side of a nearby cliff. His lion scrapes part of the mouth of the cave before landing. A big area was laid out in front of them. It was a big area but not big enough for the lion. Hunk proceeds on food down the. Where a bright yellow glow fills the room. Pressed into the wall was a yellow diamond.

"Guys!" Hunk exclaims. "I found the yellow one!"

"Great job Hunk," Allura says. "Retrieve it and then go find the others."

"On it," Hunk says pulling out his gun and starts shooting the wall.

Lance enters a cave on his lion. He heads further in it. The only light to the cave was his lion's eyes as it heads deeper into the cave.

"Hey, guys! I can't see a thing!" Lance exclaims leaning forward. Squinting his eyes hoping to see better.

"Lance, you should proceed on foot. There's a small opening up ahead. That's where the diamond should be." Allura says.

"Alright," Lance says exciting his lion. "Proceeding on foot."

He shines his flashlight along the wall, landing the beam on an opening. Lance walks over to the wall opening and climbs through.

"Woah! That was a bit of a tight squeeze." Lance says pulling his foot out and looking around the room. A soft white glow illuminated the room.

In the center of a wall was a white diamond. Its light filling the room was had a barely noticeable blue tint to it. Lance walks over to the diamond and taps on it. He puts his hand in his chin and frowns.

"Guys. I think my diamonds broken." Lance says.

"And what makes you think that," Shiro asks.

"Its white," Lance answers throwing his hands up into the air.

"The caves often regenerate the diamond if someone else took it," Allura says. "It appears the diamond that was in that cave is gone."
