Chapter Sixteen

So Plance is still in the lead, that'll probably happen. And this is coming to a close. It makes me sad knowing that this story that I've been working on for over a year is ending. Yet it makes me happy to be able to focus on my other stories and being able to finish a story!!!

Maybe if I get around to it I'll start a sequel. I just don't know what I would have happen in the sequel.

Well enough of my rambling. Here's the chapter.

Pidge dove towards the nearby cave. The Galra chasing after her. Pidge as on her way to check on Kae when they came out of nowhere. Chasing her away from the planet off to an empty one. There were caves everywhere. Blasts of heat came from a few areas.

Pidge dived dodging another Galra blast. "We have to lose them" she hissed zooming into a cave. "Cloak on" she whispered, hoping that it worked. She flew faster in the cave taking random turns until she made it to an opening. She landed her lion. There was no room for it to fly through the other exit. The best she could is wait.

Pidge climbed out of then lion. Leaving her helmet on the ground. She grabbed her bayard and stood in front of the lion ready for a fight. Pidge listened closely before she finally heard the sound of feet. She tightened her grip on her weapon when the sound of cracking filled the air. Pidge froze and turned looking at the ground, that now had spiderweb cracks all over it.

She took a step back, watching the ground break. Pidge moved further away from the cracking. She covered a her face as water pelted her.

Pidge moved her arm, her eyes widening as the ground around her was gone. There was a small area that led to the other side of the cave. In the place of the ground was a dark black water. Pidge's heart lurched into her throat when she realized something was missing.

Where was her lion?!

Without thinking Pidge dove into the water. She swam downwards, trying to spot her lion. She kept on swimming for a long time. Her throat was on fire and her bison was darkening. Her limbs gave out and her body went limp as darkness filled her vision.

An arm wrapped around Pidge's waist filling her with panic and she opened her eyes. Not seeing anyone as her body was pulled up ward. Her vision was still darkening.

Pidge's head broke the surface and she coughed, gasping for air. She felt someone pulling her towards the shore but ignored it. She was to focused on breathing.

Someone grabbed her arms and pulled her out of the water gently laying her down. Pidge blinked a few times before her eyes focused on the colors of the Paladins. Pidge's eyes widened as she remembered her lion. She jumped to her feet scaring Lance who was sitting next to her.

Pidge ran towards the water jumping into it. Someone grabbed her arm before she could touch the water. They pulled her back pinning her arms to her side. She struggled against them. Glancing down and seeing the familiar black armor. "Let me go!"

He didn't instead he picked her up over his shoulder and began exiting the cave. Pidge screamed and shouted. She kicked and punched but Shiro wouldn't release her.

They exited the cave. Pidge spotted the other lions. Panic filled her body. She had to escape.

"Takashi Shirogane!" She screamed causing him and the other Paladins to freeze. "Let! Me! Go!" She pushed against him tumbling to the ground. Pidge scrambled to her feet and ran.

The Paladins stood there in shock and Shiro turned and looked to where the girl ran.

"How'd she know your full name?" Keith asked finally.

Shiro stood there his face pale like he's seen a ghost.

"Pidge."

I've waited forever to publish this chapter!! I've been thinking about it for the longest time!!!!! And it's finally here!!
