Chapter Five- Gone

The Paladins have been searching for Pidge for two weeks now and they were starting to give up hope.

"Lance, she's gone." Hunk's voice said. There was pure sorrow in his voice. "Let's just go back to the castle."

"No," Lance whispers. "She's not gone" his voice cracked as he scanned the empty void of space.

The other lions turned around and headed to the palace. The blue lion sat there. Looking for any sign that Pidge was alive. There was nothing. Glumly the blue lion turned around and flew to the palace.

"Lance, I'm sorry," Shiro said walking towards the blue paladin. "But we've seen searching for her for weeks."

"That doesn't mean she's dead!" Lance snapped. His glare pierced into the paladins.

"I am too saddened by the lose of Pidge, but we cannot let that stop us from accomplishing our mission." Allura walked into the room. Her gentle eyes looking over Lance.

"That's your mission!" Lance yelled.

"Lance-" Shiro began

"No!! My mission is to find Pidge! And bring her home safely! Whether you like it or not!" Lance turned around and started to head back to his lion.

"Lance," Keith said. "We have no evidence that she's alive. If she is then she wouldn't want us to give up on saving the universe to save her."

"This would be the best thing to help us find her." Shiro nodded. Lance closed his eyes, seeming in deep pain before he turned around and looked at them all.

"Fine!" He huffed. Lance stormed out of the room.

"Will he ever accept that she might be gone for good?" Shiro asked softly.

"He will, in the future. Give him time to heal." Allura answered, placing her hand on Shiro's shoulder.

Alarms blared throughout the castle. The paladins raced down the halls toward the mission room. Soon the paladins entered the room. They were all dressed in their armor and ready for a fight.

"What's happening?" Shiro exclaimed.

"A Galra has entered our radar," Coran said, his fingers over the ship's controls.     (Did I spell that right?) 

"What are we waiting around for?!" Lance exclaimed. "Let's go kick their Galra butt!"

The paladins separated and went towards their lions. Shiro entered his elevator and was lowered down. He grabbed onto the zip line and slide all the way down and dropped into his car and rode to the Black Lion.

Lance entered his elevator. He took a running start and jumped onto the zip line sending him down the ramp at a fast speed. He missed the drop and crashed into the wall before falling into the hole and landing awkwardly in his car. That took off and took him to the Blue Lion.

Hunk walked calmly into his elevator which played elevator music on his way down. He grabbed his zip line and rode all the way down. This time he experienced no problems on his way to the Yellow Lion.

Keith entered his elevator. He stood there tapping his foot as he made his way downwards. Keith grabbed onto his zip line and flew all the way down. He dove down a hole and landed in his car which took his steadily to the Red Lion. (Keith better become a Paladin again in the next part of the season)  The Lions met up outside of the castle.

"Paladins, the Galra ship is a few miles away in that direction," Allura told them.

"Make sure to kick some Galra butt!" Coran yelled from behind Allura. The annoyance on Allura's face was clear.

"Be safe Paladins, and bring us the captives." With that Allura's face disappeared from the screen.

"You heard her," Shiro exclaimed. "Let's go!"

The Lions took off from the castle, in the direction Allura pointed them to. After flying for a while they spotted the Galra ship. It just sat there, doing nothing.

"What's it doing?" Hunk whisper-yelled.

"Just sitting there," Keith responded, squinting at the Galra ship.

"Well let's take a closer look" Lance answered, his lion moving forward towards the ship.

"Wait! Lance, we don't know if it's a trap!" Shiro called after him.

"But we do know that there are prisoners, that need our help." was the last thing, Lance said before he disappeared underneath the Galra spacecraft.

"Come on guys, we better follow him to keep him out of trouble," Shiro said, groans came from Hunk and Keith as the flew to where the Blue Lion was hiding.

"Lance, what are you doing?" Hunk hissed as they came over to where Lance was cutting a hole into the ship.

"I'm getting in!" Lance responded.

"Hunk you stay here and keep a look out for more Galra. We'll deliver the prisoners to you," Shiro said. "Lance, Keith, and I will go into the Galra ship and break out the prisoners."

"Aye aye captain!" Hunk responded.

Lance, Keith, and Shiro all entered the Galra spacecraft. They headed silently down the halls of the spacecraft. Avoiding all of the Galra.

They made it to the prison area and opened the door. A group of aliens all sat on the ground. They looked up at the Paladins.

"Come, we're getting you out of here." Shiro said. "Lance...Lance?"

Lance was gone, he headed further down the halls. With a glare on his face he grabbed the nearest Galra and shoved him against the wall.

"Where. Is. Pidge?" Lance growled his gun changed into a sword that he held against the Galra's neck.

"Who?" The Galra choked out.

"The green Paladin!" Lance exclaimed his blade cutting deeper into the Galra's neck.

The Galra started to laugh. "Her!" He snorted. "She died!" The Galra was in a fit of laughter

"Lance..." Lance heard Shiro say. Shiro placed his hand on to Lance's shoulder. "Let's go."

Lance pulled away from the Galra and nodded. He walked away with Shiro.

"WE KILLED HER!!" The Galra laughed crazily.

Ugh, school is so annoying. I wanted to publish this chapter sooner but I didn't have it finished.

Everything is just a pain in the butt.

I've been reading a lot of fanfics lately. Young Justice, Batman, and Damian Wayne fanfics.

Anyway sorry for not publishing this sooner.
