Chapter Seventeen

"What?" Lance exclaimed his eyes wide.

"That girl is Pidge." Shiro nodded staring towards the cave entrance.

"How do you know?" Keith questioned raising his eyebrow at Shiro.

"I just do."

Lance stared at them before taking a step away. From them he turned towards the cave and started running.

"Lance!"

"If what you're saying is true!" Lance exclaimed. "I'm not letting her get away, not again."

The paladins looked at each other before running after Lance. Lance was the first in the cave, spotting Pidge holding a rock and heading towards the water.

"Pidge stop!" The girl froze looking at Lance and his heart stopped.It really was her, why didn't he see that earlier?! Those eyes. It was Pidge, his Pidge was alive!

The other paladins entered the room and Pidge stepped backwards shocked as they all were staring at her. When an explosion broke the wall behind Pidge. She covered her head as debrie filled the room.

"Lance?!" She shouted looking around making sure he was ok. Before she could know for sure a hand wrapped around her neck and cold metal touched her temple.

"Time to stop running." Lotor hissed into her ear. Pidge's breath hitched as Lotor pulled her out of the cave into the blinding sun. She could hear the voices of the paladins as they noticed she was gone. "Should I make them watch? As you die?" Pidge growled, throwing her head back but Lotor's grip tightened around her neck as he clicked his tongue.

"None of that, see the thing is, if you die, they will live." Pidge blinked at Lotor's words and stared forward as the paladins ran out of the cave,freezing as the spotted Pidge there. At the mercy of Lotor.

Pidge blinked back tears as she looked at each of the paladins. Her family. They finally found her and now they were going to lose her for good. Pidge closed her eyes and braced herself for death. The safety of the gun clicked off and a shot fired. Pidge tensed waiting for pain to come, unless death was painless. When Lotor's hands let go of her Pidge opened her eyes, stumbling forward into Lance. Who wrapped his arms tightly around her. Lotor gripped his arm growling at Lance who's bayard was on the ground.

Pidge was in shock as more Galra appeared. Lance pushed her behind him and the rest of the paladins charged forward. Why... why were they protecting her? Pidge stared in shock as a battle unfolded. Her vision swam as chaos happened. She felt the tears run down her face.

They were willing to fight for her. Pidge let a sob come from her throat and gripped her knees as she watched the fighting. They still loved her even without knowing what she did. Or maybe the did and they didn't care. The battle was over quickly in Pidge's eyes and the next thing she knew Lance was cradling her against his chest. Pidge's cries slowly died away and she stayed there not wanting to move.

"It's up to you." Pidge glanced towards Shiro who was kneeling, a confused look across her face. "Whether you want to come home or leave." All the paladins looked at her expectantly. Pidge opened and closed her mouth. Glancing at Lance. She pulled away from him and stood up.

"Let's go home."

After the fished out the green lion Pidge flew back with her group,a small smile across her face. She was finally going home. No more running, no more fearing. She was returning to where she belonged.

When they landed Allura and Coran attacked her with a big hug. The others quickly joined in, Pidge couldn't help but laugh as she felt herself being smothered by her family.

She was finally home

Ok so sorry. I only have less then five minutes to publish it and it took forever to find out how to. I'm struggling today. Anyway this story is now finished. Sorry you had to wait two years for the finale.

Any way I have another story in the works. A new plane fanfic. That will be longer than this. It'll be coming out probably closer to June. Cause that's when I turn 18 and can do whatever I want without parent restrictions.

The new story isn't in space. It's a superhero one a bit like marvel/ dc except with Voltron characters.

There is more but I ain't gonna spoil it.
