Chapter Twelve

"Commander, we found the girl." A stiff voice said, his eyes glancing up at the commander.

"Perfect" The commander grinned. "Send a fleet to that location and kill anyone who gets in your way. I want her alive."

"Yes, Commander." With that the Galra soldier left the room.

"Why'd she help us?" Shiro asked no one in particular as he stared up to where the lion took off. 

"I dont know? Maybe she isn't as bad as we thought?" Hunk answered heading to his lion.

"We should go back to the castle." Keith inputted standing up, Shiro looked up at the sky again.

"She got injured saving us." Lance said. "We should at least thank her."

Shiro nodded. "And she still has the Green lion." He glanced at Lance cautiously. Lance wasn't paying attention, he was staring at nothingness. "Let's go."

Pidge adjusted her glasses as she stared off into space. Kae stood next to her eyes opened in wonder at the view. Her fingers working at the bandages around Pidge's stomach.

"It's beautiful." Kae said breathlessly.

"Yeah" Pidge replied looking away from the glass and at her bayard. A small ping pulled Pidge out of her thoughts and gaining her attention.

Her eyes widened and she stood up,shocking Kae. "The Galra round us!" Pidge exclaimed running to the pilots seat. "Buckle up, it's gonna be a bumpy ride."

Kae sat down on an extra seat and quickly buckled herself in. Pidge pressed the switch forward and the Green Lion took off.

Blasts were being fired at the retreating Lion. Pidge guided green, dodging multiple blasts. Only to get hit by a few more, causing the already tired Lion to stutter.

Pidge eyed a nearby planet. "Hang on tight! We're going into a crash landing!"

Kae gripped the seat, she was deathly pale as the lion broke the atmosphere of the planet. Diving down head first into the planet's surface.

Pidge's head banged against the control panel of the lion. She unbuckled herself  and looked out the glass to see she was in deadland. "Kae, we're alive. But we should get to shelter if we don't want to be killed by the Galra." No response. "Kae?"

Pidge turned around slowly, freezing at what she saw. Kae's head was slumped over her body. Her body was limp and blood trickling down from her forehead. "Kae!"

"Paladins!" Allura exclaimed running into the training room. Where Keith was sparing a drone. Shiro was doing push ups, Lance practicing his aim and Hunk was watching.

"What?" Hunk asked peeking up. "Did the Galra find us?!"

"No," Allura replied, slowing down. "But they found the Green Lion. They caused the lion to crash land into a desert planet with little civilization."

Shiro stood up, his eyes wide. "We gotta go help her." Everyone looked at him in slight shock. "She saved us, it's our turn to save her."

"Shiro's right," Keith agreed. "We do owe her."

"But she stole the Green Lion!" Allura exclaimed.

"That May be so but she kept the Paladins from being killed." Coran inputed.

"But-" Allura started.

"No buts" Shiro cut her off, glaring slightly. "We owe her"

Allura stared at the Paladins before slowly nodding. "Alright, do what you can." With that Allura exited the room.

Pidge cursed as she ran to Kae's side. "Come on! Kae wake up! I suck at this healing stuff!" Pidge took Kae's shoulders and shook her. "Wake up!"

When Kae didn't respond, Pidge stood up. "Fine then, guess that we have to cloak." Pidge hurried over to the panel of the lion and turned on cloaking, using the last bit of power the lion had.

Once Pidge finished with that her eyes moved onto the land in front of her. Her breath caught in her through as she saw multiple Galra fighters land in front of the Lion. "Quiznack!" Pidge banged her fist against the panel, anger flaring across her face. She looked back at Kae, her face hard. "Hang in there"

Pidge pushed herself away from the panel and grabbed her hood, then she exited the lion. Her hand gripping her bayard.

"Paladin, come with us peacefully and you will not be harmed." Her old friend Mr. Tuffy said stepping forward.

Pidge's eyes narrowed, barely visible though the hood. "It seems we meet again Mr. Tuffy." Pidge grinned. "Where's your friend Mr. Wimpy?"

"I repeat, come with us quietly and you won't be harmed." Mr. Tuffy repeated, causing a smirk to grace Pidge's lips.

"I was never one to go quietly."

Pidge raced forward, bayard in hand. She cut down Mr. Tuffy before he could even blink. She looked up at the other frozen Galra. "Well, don't all volunteer at once."

I would have written more but there was something I needed to figure out first.

If the gem gives Pidge powers, what would it be?

I was thinking because the gem in Blue and Green. How about powers over Water and Nature?

Also if you guys already don't know, I was originally going to make this a Plance story. But joe I'm thinking no ships
