Chapter Seven- Rescue

"Shiro?" Keith asked as he pulled out his Bayard. Keith glanced over the corner, the hallway was empty. "What's the plan?"

"You'll look for prisoners, I'll search for the weapon." Shiro said

"Shiro, what if the weapon gets used against you?!" Keith exclaimed in a harsh whisper.

"I can mange." Shiro whispered. "Now go!"

Keith ran around the corner. He raced down the hall. He turned a corner and saw a celldoor, he opened it and looked at the prisoner's in it.

"There's an escape pod over there, head towards the giant flying castle." He told the prisoners. They nodded and exited the cell and disappeared down the hall.

Keith kept on running, he turned another corner and standing in front of him was two Galra. They were standing in front of the door. They noticed Keith quickly.

The one on the right, pulled out a gun and started rapidly firing at Keith. Keith dodged the shots the best he could. He charged forward and his Bayard turned into his well known sword.

Keith slashed the sword over the gun, breaking it. Then he slammed the hilt of his sword onto the Galra's head causing him to crumble to the ground. Keith quickly drove his attention to the other Galra. The Galra glared at Keith and pulled out a sword.

Keith returned the glare and charged at the Galra. Keith swung his sword at the Galra, who easily dodged the attack. The Galra then aimed his sword at Keith's head. Keith dodged it effortlessly.

The fight went on for a while, before Keith was finally able to disarm the Galra. The Galra's eyes widened as his sword clanged to the ground. Keith raised his sword again, in result the Galra took off running.

Keith lower his sword and it turned back into it's bayard form. He then turned towards the door and opened it. A small figured stirred as the door opened.There eyes weakly opened and glanced up at Keith.

Keith's eyes widened in shock and what was in front of him, a young girl was laying on the floor. Surrounded by a pool of blood. Their own blood. The person was horribly injured.

Keith ran to the girl's side, he gently places his hand on her side. She pulled away from him, her eyes opened wider.

"Hey," He said gently, trying to calm the injured girl. "Your safe, I'm Keith, the Red Paladin, I'm gonna get you out of here."

The girl relaxed, and Keith brushed some of the girl's Auburn hair out of her face. Her big brown eyes stared at him. "I'm going to carry you, let me know if it hurts."

Keith slid his arms undearth the girl and picked her up bridal style.

"Shiro," Keith said into the helmet.

"Yes, Keith?" Shiro asked, grunts and gunfire could be heard from Shiro's line.

"I found a prisoner, she's badly injured. If she doesn't get medical attention soon, she'll bleed out." Keith informed Shiro.

"Alright, get her to the medical bay." Shiro ordered. "There's nothing else here."

"Alright," Keith nodded before exiting the cell and taking off down the all, avoiding all of the Galra he could. The ones that spotted them went down quickly.

Keith entered his lion. He laid the girl gently onto a little bed, before taking off.

"We're done, let's go!" Keith heard Shiro yell into the earpiece.

"BooYA!" Lance exclaimed and they all flew to the castle.

"Allura, prepare the healing pod!" Keith said, as he exited his lion. Keith picked up the Girl and ran to the main room. He felt the girl's gaze on him, he looked down at her and gave her a small reassuring smile.

"QUIZNACK!!" Coran exclaimed, as Keith entered the room. "How is she conscious?"

"I don't know but we can ask her after she's healed." Shiro cut in, looking down at the girl, who stared at him.

The healing pod rose out of the ground and opened, very gently Keith set her down into it. She looked up at Keith, before the door closed and her eyes closed.
