Earenniel P.O.V

Location: Beorn's Home

It was the sound of farm animals and Strange buzzing sounds that awoke me. I see a huge bee, Flying past me. That's something you don't see every day. When I stirred I felt a certain warmth against me and I looked down to see that a blanket was placed on top of me.

I don't remember getting cold last night or putting a blanket on top of myself, someone else must have done it.

I stood up and looked around for any sign of the company, seeing that none of them where in the current room. Suddenly I began to here the voices of the company in the other room. They all were Settled at large dining table, While the food was brought to them by who I am assuming is Beorn, our host.

As I sat down at an empty seat Beorn came around the table filling everyone's cup with milk and Fili's cup was next.

"So you are the one they call Oakenshield. Tell me, why is Azog the Defiler hunting you?" Beorn asked. His question was directed to Thorin.

"You know of Azog? How?" Thorin asked.

"My people were the first to live in the mountains before the Orcs came down from the north. The Defiler killed most of my family, but some he enslaved." Beorn said, Expressing his grief.

I then looked towards Beorn's wrists. They showed scarring from tight chains being around them.

"Not for work, you understand, but for sport. Caging skin-changers and torturing them seemed to amuse him." Beorn said.

"There are others like you?" Bilbo asked.

"Once, there were many." Beorn said.

"And now?" Bilbo asked.

"Now, there is only one." Beorn said.

I felt a cold stone settle in my stomach. My heart twisted with sorrow for Beorn, for I knew firsthand how far Azog's cruelty could go. I didn't feel as hungry as I did before, once I began to eat what was on my plate.

"You need to reach the mountain before the last days of autumn?" Beorn asked them.

"Before Durin's Day falls, yes." Gandalf said informing him.

"You are running out of time." Beorn said back.

"Which is why we must go through Mirkwood." Gandalf said.

"Mirkwood?" I asked looking up from my food, hearing the place where my brother resides.

Gandalf gave me a small nod to my question.

"A darkness lies upon that forest. Fell things creep beneath those trees. There is an alliance between the Orcs of Moria and the Necromancer in Dol Guldur. I would not venture there except in great need." Beorn said telling them about the forest.

"We will take the Elven Road. That path is still safe." Gandalf said.

"Safe? The Wood-Elves of Mirkwood are not like their kin. They're less wise and more dangerous. But it matters not." Beorn said as he dismissed Gandalf's plan.

"What do you mean?" Thorin asked curiously.

"These lands are crawling with Orcs. Their numbers are growing, and you are on foot. You will never reach the forest alive." Beorn bluntly informed him.

"We'll take that chance." I said.

Thorin's Eyes followed Beorn as he stood up from the table.

"I don't like dwarves. They're greedy and blind, blind to the lives of those they deem lesser than their own." Beorn said bitterly.
