Kihyun didn't sleep at all that night. He was too busy sorting out his thoughts. There was just so much to take in.

It was still quite unbelievable to him that Hyungwon and Hoseok once dated. Now that they've broken up, Kihyun started feeling a weird sensation whenever he was around Hoseok.

It's not a crush.

At least, that's what he's been trying to convince himself into thinking.

He stood at the foot of Hoseok's condominium, rubbing his eyes wearily. Checking his watch, he stifled a yawn. God save me, he thought, I feel like death.

He was about to fall asleep while leaning against a pillar when the lift doors opened and Hoseok walked out, carrying a black box in his hands. As Kihyun took it from him, Hoseok smiled wearily at him.

"It's not going to be easy, and I don't blame you if you don't want to do it anymore. I just need you to pass this to Red herself. You can find her at the usual place."

Kihyun stared at the box. "What's....inside?" Hoseok placed a hand on the lid. "Promise me you won't open it." Kihyun felt a lump growing in his throat. "I promise."

Hoseok patted Kihyun on the shoulder. "Thank you. I would give it to her myself except I want to stay away from that place as much as possible." Kihyun nodded. "Take care while you're at work. Text me if you need anything, alright?"

He waved goodbye to Hoseok before leaving the condominium premises carrying the ominous black box in his arms.

I really want to know what's inside. His fingers traced the edge of the box lid, the temptation growing inside him.

You can't do this. Hoseok trusts you. The worst thing you can do now is to break that trust.

As he walked down the street, dread grew within him, blossoming across his body like an overgrown plant.

Now, all he had to do was wait till nightfall, in order to pay Red a visit. It was going to be neither easy or pleasant, but for the sake of Hoseok, he'd do it.

He gritted his teeth.

Time to find Red and end this once and for all.
