Target "Son Hyunwoo" disconnected

Time: 23rd April 2017: 1542 Hours

Last Recorded Location: Shanghai Pudong International Airport, S1 Yingbin Expy, Pudong Xinqu, Shanghai Shi, China.

Kihyun stared dumbfounded at the tracker report. Rage slowly bubbled inside him, and his face turned alarmingly white.

"Who the fuck let this happen?" He turned around and glared at the men behind him. Minkyun was staring at his shoes, unable to look Kihyun straight in the eye.

"I spent my money sending you bunch of useless fuckers to China and this is what you give me in return?" He kicked the table before him over in anger. "Answer me!" Kihyun withdrew his pistol and pointed it the heads of each of the men.

Minkyun fidgeted nervously. "I kept an eye on him throughout the entire flight, I really did-" Before he could finish his sentence, Kihyun had kicked him so squarely in the gut he was sent flying to the other end of the room.

"I have no time and tolerance for weak excuses like this." Kihyun snarled, pacing around the remaining men. His soft voice dripped with venom, sending chills down the spines of the men.

One of the men cleared his throat. "We're sorry. Our negligence has caused us to jeopardize our identities. We'll set out to search for him right away, under your permission, that is." Kihyun scoffed.

"Ever the sweet talker, Yoonho." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a thick wad of crisp banknotes. "Reward yourself." Yoonho bowed graciously. Kihyun turned to the other men, including Minkyun, who was scrambling to his feet.

"As for the rest of you, I don't need you to interfere in my business anymore. All you do is fuck up everything and at the end, I'll have to clear up the mess you made." He paused to roll his eyes. He picked up his wallet from the floor and wiped the dust off it.

"Take it and busy yourself with something that won't disrupt my work." Kihyun shoved a thin stack of cash into their hands and dismissed them with an irritable wave of his hand. They bowed one by one and left the room.

Kihyun sighed and leaned against the door after shutting it behind them. The small leather notebook which lay on the floor caught his eye.

My diary.

He walked over and picked it up. Flipping it open, he began reading his old entries. Something seems to be calling out to me. He continued thumbing through the pages until he reached the entry dated 12th April 2017.

"12/04

I can't believe I'm on the way back to Korea. I'm not even ready to face my brothers again. What will they say when they know I'm back? Will they welcome me? Will they turn their backs on me? I'm just worried that they'll no longer accept me.

That aside, I met this really nice flight attendant who helped me. I got his name, but I don't know what I'm going to do with that bit of information. At least, if by any luck, I see him again after this flight, I know what to call him. He seems like someone who's into light-hearted humour. I think we'd get along quite well.

It's dark outside and I can see the ocean below. I'm really leaving America. Leaving behind my friends. They don't know the truth about me, which really helps. What if leaving America turns out to be the worst decision I'll ever make in my life?

Honestly, there's no point of worrying so I guess I'll try to sleep for a bit. The jet lag is going to be crazy once I'm back in Korea.

P.S. Tell them to keep their hands off Son Hyunwoo. He's a friendly guy and I want to get to know him better without the gang trying to kill him. LOL.

YKH"

Kihyun stared unblinkingly at the diary entry. He could almost feel his heart melt. How come I don't even remember writing this? Closing the book carefully, he cradled it in his arms and stood by the window.

As the wind gently tousled his pink hair, and the sunlight catching the golden sparkle in his eyes, he made a decision. I won't do something I might potentially regret in the future. He smiled at the faint sound of his aunt's voice.

Fishing his phone from his pocket, he quickly dialled a number.
