Logan:

I stood there watching as Rory walked away from me. Damn it! How many times was I going to let that happen before I finally stopped her. I turned and called a car to take me back to my hotel.

I knew Rory well. Well enough to know that something seemed a bit weird with her. But I shook it off. I wonder if her interview didn't go well or maybe it was just the shock of seeing me like that. I mean, I didn't bother to say that I never married Odette. But, then again I never came back for her anyway. She was probably with somebody new by now anyway. She wasn't the kind of woman to stay on the market for very long once available.

But I did miss her, and I was glad that I was going to get the chance to see her again. I climbed into the car that pulled up and was on my way back to the hotel.

I called Rory the following morning to make plans to catch up, just like we said we would. I offered to make the drive to Stars Hallow since she was busy trying to get out the latest edition of the Gazette, and we decided to meet at Weston's for pie and coffee.  On ne hand I felt nervous, not knowing how this was gonna go. She seemed distant before, hopefully she warmed up a little bit. I opened my laptop and put my focus on my work for the remainder of the day.

The next morning I showered and prepared to make the drive down to the Hallow. I decided I was just gonna drive myself down versus using a car service. I grabbed my wallet and smartphone and headed to the parking garage. As I climbed in the car I felt a vibrating in my pocket and I pulled out the phone to see Rory's name appeared.

"Hey Ace. What's up? You're not cancelling on me are you?" I asked.

"No. Of course not." She said with a laugh. That was good, it showed she was in a good mood. "I just wanted to let you know I'm gonna be at the Gazette so I'll just meet you at Weston's when you get here."

"Okay. That's cool. I just climbed in the car so I should be there in a couple hours. I'll give you a call when I'm close." I told her before we hung up.

I set the phone in the passanger seat and backed out of the parking spot, made my way out of the garage and into traffic on my way to Rory.
