Logan:
I sat in my hotel room at The Westin looking through the albums from the past couple years. I had asked Rory if I could barrow them while I was in the states, and as I flipped through the pages I watched our little girl grow up, but in pictures.
I was meeting Rory for dinner later that night. She had insisted on meeting me in the city, but she agreed to go to the restaurant together, so we were meeting in the lobby of the hotel. But for the time being I was left with this time on my hands.
I continued to flip through the pages. Rory in the hospital with our daughter on their first days together, first birthday, holidays, Logan with the family and around town in stars hallow, all the way up to current times. They looked happy, my two ladies. Rory looked great as well. I flipped back to the first few pages and slipped an image out from behind the plastic pocket. It was a picture from their first few days home. They were in the living room on the couch together. Both of them were asleep, Logan's head resting on Rory's chest, and they both looked so peaceful. It was one of my all time moments where Rory looked beautiful. Her hair was pulled back in a messy ponytail, and she was just wearing sweatpants and a Hep Alien t-shirt. Lorelei had most likely taken the picture unbeknownst to her.
I closed the album and looked at the picture for a bit longer thinking about the things she must have gone through during those three years. She excelled at anything she did, so I didn't doubt that she found her rhythm of being a mom. I put the picture on the side table and slide off the bed. I had work to get done before tonight.

Rory:
I climbed out of the car and smoothed down my dress. I looked around at all the cars in the parking garage of The Westin hotel, listening to the engines of the cars starting so they could leave or coming in. I leaned down and checked my hair and make-up in the side view mirror before heading up to the lobby of the hotel.
I stepped onto the elevator, pulled my phone out of my clutch and sent Logan a message letting him know I was here. When the doors slid open I stepped out into the lobby and listened to the heels of my shoes click on the tile floors. The lobby itself was a massive space where people could congregate. I made my way over to the floor to ceiling windows across from the concierge desk and took a seat in one of the large forest green armchairs and waited.

Logan:
I looked in the mirror and straightened my tie. I wore a simple black suit with a white shirt and dark red tie. I heard my cell vibrate on the work desk next to me an looked down to see a message come in from Rory. I opened the message to see that she was in the lobby waiting for me to come down. I could just tell her to come up. But, then I thought for a moment more and decided she probably wouldn't. Even though she was opening up she probably wouldn't feel comfortable coming up. She was still distant and reserved. So instead I just messaged back telling her I would be down shortly.
I picked up my Armani shoes and sat down to put them on ad the picture from earlier caught my eye. I looked at it once more and smiled. I wasn't happy that I missed these moments but I was happy that I was getting to experience them now, and I was happy that Rory was downstairs in the lobby right now. I finished lacing the shoes, stood, grabbed my wallet, and made my way out into the hall. I caught the elevator right before it closed, pushed the button for the second floor, and the elevator started to make its decent.
The nerves started to set in when I felt the elevator start to slow, kind of like a guy going on his first date. Why did I feel like this? I've known her for years. She's the mother of my child. There's no reason to feel nervous. Then the doors opened.
I stepped out of the elevator and walked to the escalator to make my way down to the main lobby. Then, as I made that final decent I saw her. She was sitting there in one of the over-sized green chairs by the window. She wore a navy blue dress with silver heels and her hair was slightly curled to give it a bit of volume. She looked amazing and as I hit the platform she looked up.

Rory:
I watched the world go by behind me outside the building. I checked my phone a couple times while I waited for Logan to come down from his room. I also wanted to find out if he had made it through the albums yet, or if he wanted any copies. I was starting to get restless and the nerves had already set in before I already got out of the car. So I picked up the phone and called mom.
"Hey kid, everything okay?" She said when she answered.
"Yeah. I'm just sitting in the lobby waiting." I responded.
"Wow, who's the woman here? Isn't it the man who's usually ready first?" She said.
"Haha. Very funny." I said rolling my eyes. "How's Logan?"
"She's fine, you know feeding her a pound of chocolate and a large coffee before bed."
"Mom." I said.
"I'm kidding. God, what's got you." She asked.
"Nothing I'm fine." I replied. "I just wanted to call and check-in."
"Okay then. Well we're all good here. You just have a good night. You might not want to be on the phone when he gets down there. " She said.
"Okay. You're probably right. I'll see you later." I said.
"Okay. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Mom said and then I hung up the phone.
I looked down at the phone and could feel somebody watching me. Then I looked up and there was Logan. He was wearing a sleek, fitted suit and red tie. But nothing beat that smile. He was nothing less than handsome and perfect, he looked perfect, and I thought to myself okay here we go.
