Logan:
I drove not really knowing what I was doing. I just knew I had to get away from Rory, away from that house. I needed to compose my thoughts. Really wrap my head around this. I had a three year old daughter. A child with Rory.
How could she not have said anything? It's like she didn't know me at all. What did she think I'd do? Ah...that was beside the point now. But still, I had a right to know. I mean that's my kid in that house.
I stopped the car in the town square and climbed out. I shoved my hands in my pockets and started walking. It probably wasnt the smartest idea to be driving anywhere, at least not in is state. The town was busy today, but it didn't matter. I felt a thousand miles away.
Rory kept bringing up Odette too. Little did she know Odette hadn't been a factor this entire time. Maybe that would have changed thing? Maybe if I had called her when I had left her and told her. Maybe she would have felt like she could have said something then.
I walked up the steps of the gazebo and sat down on one of the benches watching to world go by in front of me. Kids playing in the town square. Happy families walked by running errands or maybe just shopping for leisure. We could have had that. I saw a father with his little girl as he lifted her up and put her on his shoulders enjoying their time together. There was so much I hadn't gotten to be a part of.
And Rory. My Ace. She had to do this alone. She was the strongest woman I knew. But this, this was definetly something she shouldn't of had to do alone. I could just imagine how hard it must have been.
I lost track of time watching everything go by around me. Lost in my thoughts. But one think I knew for certain. I wasn't going to miss anything else.

Rory:
I walked back in the house and into the kitchen where mom and Logan when eating ice cream straight from the carton. I grabbed a spoon and sat down with them. Popping a big spoonful of ice cream in my mouth.
"Well, that was...unexpected." Mom said, staring at me.
"Unexpected isn't even the half of it. He was so angry." I said.
"Well what did you expect kid? Joy, happiness?" She asked sarcasticly.
"Well no. Of course not." I snapped back.
"Hey don't get mad at me. I didn't do anything wrong here." Mom said, Using her hands to block.
I sighed deep. "Yeah I know. I'm sorry. It's wasn't supposed to happen like this though. I was supposed to be able to tell him before he saw her."
"I know hun. But things don't always work out as planned." She said sympathetically.
"Hey mom." I said.
"Yeah."
"Thanks for not saying I told ya so." I said with a small smile.
"Anytime."
Then we dug our spoons back into the container.
