Rory:

"Mommy when is your friend coming back?" Logan asked while sitting on my bed, flipping through her favorite book.

"He's coming for dinner in a little bit before he has to go back home." I told her, while going through my closet.

It had been two days since I had seen Logan last, and before we had parted ways we had made a plan for him to come to dinner before he had to go back to London. We wouldn't see him again until Christmas, but that wasn't to far away. I pulled on a dark pair of dark blue denim jeans and red long sleeved top.

"Hey hun. I'm headed out. There's an emergency at the Inn." Mom said as she rounded the corner into my room. "Who you getting all dolled up for?" She said eyeing me.

"Nobody." I said brushing out my hair.

"Mommy's friend is coming for dinner." Logan said happily.

"Oh really." Mom said, responding to Logan's statement but looking at me.

"Yes." I said giving her a wary look.

I knew she didn't really like the idea of Logan coming around. Especially since we were telling little Logan. But she knew that I didn't want to hear it, and if I was happy she was. She just worried, and I could accept that.

"Michel?" I asked her.

"When is it not." She said rolling her eyes. "I'll be back."

"Can you pick up pie on your way back?!" I yelled out to her as the door opened.

"Sure." I heard her say and then the door closed.

I looked down at my little girl, flipping through her book. Her hair was in pigtails and she wore a pink sweater with Minnie Mouse on the front of it. She also wore black leggings and socks to keep her feet warm. I knew it wasn't right to keep this from her, but it just wasn't the right time. She'd know soon though.

Logan:

Everything in the meeting went well and the contracts had been signed. Tomorrow I had to get on a plane back to London though, and I wasn't ready to go. So much had changed in the last couple day and now going back...well. Everything had changed. There's wasn't much more to it. One thing was for sure, I had to keep this from my family for as long as possible. I could just imagine the horrible things that would come from them finding out about Rory and Logan.

I drove through the town and glanced at the people that were out and about. Luke and Taylor were having it out about something, Gypsy was working on a vehicle. Then there were shoppers coming out of stores with bags of goods, and families just playing in the snow. If I was able to stay longer I could picture that being us, a happy little family. I mean, the whole reason Rory didn't want to say anything was because of the fact that I was leaving tomorrow. I was just glad I was coming back for Christmas. Now was the time to figure out what to get them.

I pulled up in front of the Gilmore house and it looked pretty magical. It was like it had happened overnight almost. When I was here last it was just a house. But now, each window was lined with Christmas lights, the front door was adorn with two wreaths and the banisters of the porch were wrapped in garland. Lorelei  always did love Christmas. I turned off the engine and climbed out of the car.

"Logan." A voice said from behind me.

When I turned around I saw Lorelei and Luke climbing out of his truck.

"Lorelei good to see you. Same to you Luke." I said walking over to them.

"Rory said you were coming for dinner." Luke said.

"Yeah. I have to head out tomorrow." I said.

"Back to London?" Lorelei said, eyeing me.

"Yeah. I gotta get back since I was only here on work." I replied. I knew she didn't like this, but couldn't she try a little better to hide it.

"Well, who's hungry?" Luke said, interrupting the silence. "I brought a truckload from the diner, that way we wouldn't have to cook."

"Oh and what will you two have?" Lorelei laughed.

"Oh very funny." Luke said rolling his eyes as she grabbed three pies from the cab of the truck. "Let's get inside before we all freeze."

"Sounds good to me." I said, shoving my hands inside my pockets.
