Rory:

I woke up a bit disorganized trying to remember where I was. The down comforter weighed down on top of me and I remembered I was in Logan's suite in New York. I rolled over facing the window, the curtains were still drawn keeping the room dark. But I could see the light trying to make its way through.

I wanted nothing more than to cuddle up under those blankets and stay there all day. But that was irreaponsible, Logan was back at home and I had to get back. I couldn't let her stay with mom all day. I threw the covers back and climbed out of the bed. Logan's shirt hung on me and I breathed in the slight scent of him that lingered on it. Last night was good, and we had a plan now. This could work.

I walked into the bathroom and turned on the light, looking at myself in the mirror. I was so tired the night before I didn't bother removing my make-up, what a mistake that was. I grabbed the washcloth and wet it so I could wash my face from the smeared mascara and whatever else was now around my eyes. Then I started the shower, stripped Logan's shirt off and climbed into the warm water. The water felt good against my skin. I grabbed the little bottle of shampoo that the hotel provided and poured it into my hand, it smelled of mint, and lathered it into my hair. When I rinsed it out I repeated the process with the conditioner and then washed my body before climbing out.

Wrapping a fluffy towel around me I walked back into the bedroom. I could hear Logan talking on the phone to somebody.

"Yes. One o'clock works fine. I'll see you then." I could hear him say.

I grabbed my travel hairbrush out of my purse and quickly ran it through my hair and then pulled it into a ponytail securing it with a hair tie. I had learned to never go without those two items in my purse. Then I got dressed before walking out of the room to where Logan was.

Logan:

I could hear the shower start from behind Rory's bedroom door as I continued on my phone call. The person on the other end of the line continued to talk about going over our deal and instead of listening I was thinking about what to do next with Rory and Logan. I wonder how she would feel about me coming for Christmas. I knew that Loralie wouldn't accept me having them come to London, plus it was to close to christmas to ask that big of a request. What could I get for them? That was something to think about. What do three year olds even like?

"Mr. Huntzberger? Are you still there?" The man on the other end of the line asked.

"Yes sorry. I missed the last thing you said." I replied.

"I was asking if one would be good for you to come back in?" He said.

"Yes. One o'clock is fine." I said before we hung up. If everything went well today my business in the city would be over and I'd have a couple days before flying back.

I heard the doors latch click and then saw Rory walk out.

"Hey Ace. Sleep well?" I asked her.

"Actually, yes." She replied. "I was really out of it by the end of the night."

"Well I'm glad you stayed then." I said, looking at her. Her hair was wet and tied back and she was in the outfit she wore last night.

"I am to. What's that smell?" She asked.

"I had room service bring up breakfast. Its not Luke's or anything but there's blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. Oh, and a whole carafe of coffee." I said standing up. "Hungry?"

"Do you even need to ask?" She said with a laugh.

We made our way over to the table and enjoyed breakfast together. I could get used to this.

"So I wanted to run something by you." I asked as Rory read the paper.

"What's that?" She asked, looking up and directing her attention toward me.

"Well, I've already missed so much and Christmas is just a couple weeks away." I started.

"Yes." Rory said directing all her attention toward me.

"I would like to be here for the holidays. You know, if its alright by you." I asked casually.

"Do you think you would be able to come to the states again that soon?" She asked me.

"I'll make it happen." I said matter-o-factly.

"Well, if you think you can make it you're more than welcome to come." She said.

"Okay then. Cool." I replied and we finished our meal.
