Logan:
I had put it all out there for Rory to hear, and now with no secerts between us we could figure out a way to move forward. However that was going to be. Rory opened the door and we made our way inside. She was right, it was better right now to just introduce me as a friend, otherwise it would just be to confusing when I had to leave to return to London.
Rory locked the door behind us and I removed my coat hanging it on the nearest hook.
"You ready?" Rory asked me one last time.
"Completely." I said with a smile before we made our way into the living room.
I watched Rory walk over and sit on the sofa motioning for me to walk over and join her. I was still in awe of how much little Logan looked like me. It was uncanny. I mean, I saw Rory in her as well but not as much.
"Hey hunny. I want to introduce you to an old friend of mine." Rory said getting our daughters attention.
"Okay mommy." She said turing around and recognizing me from earlier today. "Hey I know you!" She said pointing at me."
"Yeah me met earlier. But we weren't properly introduced." I said directing my attention to her. "I'm an old friend of you mommies."
"Yeah. Your names Logan! Just like me!" She said with a little laugh.
She was beyond adorable. My blonde hair and her mom's blue eyes. But she had my smile. She was amazing and I had just met her.
"So where did you go Logan?" She asked curiously.
"Oh that? I got a call and had to go do some work." I replied.
"Why?" She asked.
"Because, that's what adults have to do." I said with a chuckle.
"But, you could have done it here." She said.
"Not really." I replied.
"But why?" She asked again.
"Because...it involved going somewhere else." I said trying to beat around the bush.
"Oh. Well, okay then." She said with a smile, before going back to her television show.
I looked over to Rory who was silently laughing at how our daughter grilled me with questions.
"Do you want some coffee?" Rory asked getting up with her now empty cup.
"Sure. I'll go with you." I said standing.
We made our way to the kitchen where we were out of earshot . "She's a born journalist." I laughed.
"Well that's what happens when you come from two of the best." Rory said with a wink.
"She's beautiful Ace." I said as Rory pulled down a second mug.
"Logan! Logan!" Little Logan said as she ran into the kitchen.
"What's up Munchinkin?" I said.
"Do you like pancakes?" She said jumping up and down.
"Pancakes? Yeah I do! Pancakes are awesome!" I responded mimiking her excitement.
"Grandma said we can go to Butch's and get pancakes! Do you wanna come?" She asked me.
"I don't know. I think we should ask your mommy if it okay first." I said looking over at Rory.
"It's fine by me." She said, and then little Logan ran off yelling happily down the hall.
"I think this is gonna be fun." I said.
