A Devan/Collins Key Fanfiction

Chapter 8-Josie's POV

I feel I bit guilty just walking out like that, I think I have some apologies to give. I texted Hannah first and said, "I'm so sorry Hannah. I don't know what I was saying. I just got so heated, I'm sorry." Ok I know, that's a super weak apology but I don't know how else to say it. She took a little while to respond but she finally accepted my apology. "I accept your apology. I shouldn't have been that defensive anyways, I don't have any reason to. The people you really have to apologize to is Collins and Devan." I took that in and remembered how awkward Collins and Devan were, I have to say something. And I was gonna do it right.

I got Hannah and we decided to go to their house. Somehow Hannah had gotten their address through Collins and we decided to make it up to them.

We knocked on the door and Devan answered. "Oh hi..." Devan said awkwardly. I started, "We just wanted to say that we are so sorry. We didn't mean to argue like that and make you guys very awkward. Sorry." I finished, playing with my hair on my shoulder. Devan smiled (I practically melted) and said, "It's ok, I accept your apology. You can come in." Hannah and I smiled at each other as we entered their house. Wow, their house was very VERY big. Everything was furnished so well and I tried not to be completely awestruck. "Here's the old shack." Collins says as he walks up behind Devan. Hannah looks kinda surprised and sad at the same time, she knew she might've hurt Collins' feelings, but he seems cool now. "Old shack? If this is an old shack what is a house?" I said. Collins and Devan both laughed as they continued to show us around. Devan started to turn on their sweet flat screen and a commercial came on that sparked my imagination. The commercial said: "New at Taco Bell, we are giving out two free tacos to each person, but you have to come before 4!" Devan and I looked at each other and had the same idea. "Let's get free tacos!!" Devan and I said at the same time. We both smiled at each other and everyone agreed with us.

Hannah and I decided that this was going to make up for the awkward mess at Hannah's house. Hannah said that she had felt better once she knew that everything had been resolved, which didn't make sense to me, but I just went with it. Taco Bell was PACKED. The line went out the door, but Devan and I agreed that it was definitely worth it. But Collins and Hannah seemed a bit annoyed with our determination so they decided to wait for us in the car. As Devan and I were walking up to Taco Bell, being as clumsy as I was I tripped over a crack in the street. Luckily, Devan caught me right before I hit the ground. It happened just like in the movies he caught me and we looked at each other and smiled. But when Devan caught me an awkward old man just walked by and said, "Aw yea. You guys look cute together!" We both exchanged weird looks and burst out laughing.

As we walked in the line looked like it had been less from when we got there. Devan and I both loved Taco Bell so we each got two tacos. We walked back to the car and gave Hannah and Collins their tacos. "Well, how did it go?" Collins asked as we sat down in the car. "It went fine." Devan responded smiling at me. Collins smiled and said, "Ok." Collins drove all of us back to their house, and we decided that we could do the collab right now.

For some weird reason I was nervous about the video. So I was just sitting alone at the dining table while everyone else was setting up, and I think Devan realized that I was nervous. "Hey! You ok?" Devan said as he walked over and sat down next to me. "I've just never been in a YouTube video before. What if they hate me?" I said. Devan looked at me and smiled, "You'll be great and I know that they will love you. Now come on let's go." We walked towards where we were filming the video and Collins started with his intro: "Hey! What's up guys and welcome to the Thursday vlog! Today we are going to be doing the bean boozled challenge, but first I need some special guests to help me out. Of course we have the one and only Devan Key. (Devan pops up in the chair next to him) And now we have two of my closest friends Hannah and Josie." Well now this was my time. "Hey!" We both said as we sat in two chairs next to Collins and Devan. "So as I said today we are going to be doing the bean boozled challenge. So let's get straight into it!" "Ok, I'll go first!" Devan said still smiling. He spun the spinner and it landed on Tutti Fruity or Stinky Socks. His grin faded as he picked up a weird looking jelly bean. He quickly tossed it up and it landed in his mouth. He immediately gagged. I grabbed him a trash can quickly and laughed as he tried to get the terrible taste out of his mouth. We did it at least fifteen times. In the end, Collins got toothpaste causing him to wanna stop right there. "Okay guys, please like this video and subscribe to my channel. Don't forget to comment down below "keyper squad". And you have to be subscribed to my channel to do so. Now, for Hannah and Josie don't forget to check out their Instagrams and we'll see you next week!" Collins said. Their dad cut the tape and smiled. "Good job guys! Now go get some mouthwash from upstairs!" Mr. Key said. We all had a little laugh and ran up their perfectly polished stairs to their huge bathroom for just Devan and Collins. We all had some mouthwash and headed back downstairs. "Thanks for coming guys! Who knows, maybe you two should start your own YouTube channel!" Devan suggested. "Maybe," I said. Even though I knew that would be a fun idea. Before we walked out the door, Devan pulled me aside and said: "Hey Josie, you did great. Don't worry about the haters. We'll see you later." And with Collins outside waving Hannah good-bye and distracted, Devan kissed me on the cheek and offered to drive me back to my house. My summer has been amazing so far, I don't think anything could ruin it now. Or so I thought...
