Locked Away

Wonshik's POV

Jaehwan has not eaten since Hyuk died. The most which I have managed to get him to swallow is a few dry biscuits.

He still drinks like normal, water and tea, but he won't eat. The kid is growing thinner and thinner by the day.

I am growing worried for him.

What surprises me the most is that Hongbin has not called or physically come to visit Jaehwan.

Hyuk's dying wish was for him to watch over Jaehwan for him and he hasn't fulfilled that once.

Currently, Jaehwan watches his favourite drama whilst texting someone.

I am behind the bench, heating up some leftovers from last night.

"You hungry?" I ask him and he just shakes his head. I frown as I grab the plate of re-heated bulgogi.

I take a seat at the dining table and eat in silence. I understand that Jaehwan is absolutely devastated over the loss of his friend but he needs to eat.

He can't just starve himself. It won't bring Hyuk back and it wouldn't make him happy either.

Just as I am halfway through my meal, there is a soft knock at the door.

I look over at Jaehwan and realise he isn't going to open it so I push the plate away and get out of my chair.

I walk over to the door and open to see Hongbin standing there, his head low and his hands in his pockets.

"Hongbin ah. How are you?" I immediately ask him as I greet him.

"Is Jaehwan here?" he ignores my question and peers over my shoulder to look inside.

I nod slowly and step aside so he can enter the apartment. He walks in and heads straight over to the couch where Jaehwan is seated.

"What are you doing here?" Jaehwan questions him softly. "I came to check up on you. To see how you are doing" Hongbin states firmly and gently sits beside him.

"I'm doing as good as possible. What about you?" he states and Hongbin just smiles sadly.

"I'm not doing to great. I know we only just got back together but, it feels as though part of me has been destroyed, you know?"

"I'm sorry" Jaehwan tried to comfort Hongbin but you can see that it's doing nothing. He is completely shattered.

That is when it hits me, it's almost 30 degrees outside and Hongbin is wearing a coat on top of what looks to be a long sleeved shirt.

"Aren't you got in all that gear?" I decide to ask him about it. He looks over at me and at his coat and sighs before removing his coat to reveal a long sleeved shirt underneath.

I walk over to him and take the coat off of him and he mutters a thanks.

"I won't be staying too long so you don't have to hang it up" he states and I just shrug him off and hang it by the front door.

"Have you been eating fine?" Jaehwan suddenly asks Hongbin and he nods slowly.

"Hakyeon would kill me if I stopped eating."
