Taehyung's POV

My brother was nearly 7 years younger than me but we were closer than anything.

Our parents were killed in a car accident when he was only 11 and I was 18. Not being a minor anymore, they allowed me to look after my brother and become his legal guardian.

I didn't know what I would ever do if something happened to him, but something did.

My brother, his name was Seokjin. He was best friends with a young kid called Haechan.

There was an age gap of about 7 years between them but they managed to maintain a strong relationship.

Seokjin was 24 at the time, Haechan was only 17. They had met up one night, to go out and celebrate Seokjin getting a job as a dance instructor.

It was on the way home that everything went wrong. Terribly wrong.

Haechan's POV

Seokjin is so drunk. I've seen him this drunk once before and that was when he was in a really bad state of mind.

This time he is drunk because he is happy. He is a such a strange person.

He drinks when he is struggling. He drinks when he is happy.

"We should take you home" I yell over the blaring music. I forget how loud some of these clubs can be.

I haven't drunk any alcohol as I'm too young. But I did get myself a fake ID so I can go to clubs with my buddy here and watch him drink until he can hardly move.

"We need to have one more round of drinks!" Seokjin exclaims and goes to order them but I stop him.

"It's late. Let's get you home" I grab his arm and pull him off the stool. He pouts as I drag him out of the club.

Out on the streets he is a stumbling mess. He whistles some kind of tune which probably would have sounded nice if it wasn't interrupted by hiccuping every few moments.

There are few people scattered on the streets. The streets are surprisingly bright because of the street lamps though.

"Let's take the shortcut" Seokjin suggests, his voice continues to slur like crazy.

"It's too dark. We will just go the long way" The shortcut requires walking through an alley way which has no lights except for one that flickers constantly and is in the middle of the long passage.

I try to drag him past the turn off but he refuses to move.

"You can see my house at the end. See the lights. Brother, Taehyung is just there" he points down the alleyway.

Going down it would save at least 10 minutes but it would be dangerous. Most of it is swallowed by darkness.

"Into the void!" Seokjin cheers and takes off down the alleyway.

"Yah! Wait for me at least" I call out and chase after him. I stay close to his side and can't help but feel sick in the stomach as we slowly make our way towards the house.

I feel so uneasy.

"Is that hyung?" Seokjin suddenly questions aloud. I look ahead to see two shadowed figures approaching us quickly.

They stop just in front of us, blocking our path.

"It's a bit late isn't it?" The one on the left says, his voice hoarse.

"Yes, well we live just down there you see" I say calmly. "We are already running late, our mother would be so worried."

"We can't keep you from your dear mother" the left one continues to speak.
