Hongbin had been crying for hours on end. Just as I was beginning to think that he was never going to stop, he fell asleep.
The silence is refreshing and I feel like I am breaking some kind of rule if I disturb it.
I am seated on a stool at the bench as I eat a bowl of two minute noodles.
I have my phone out and am scrolling through the internet to see if their are any updates on Hyuk's case.
The first thing that comes out surprises me even more. Hyuk makes a statement about his career.
I open the link immediately to read what he has to say.
Idol, Hyuk, has posted to his instagram account. It's a picture of him in a dark hoodie captioned, 'I apologise to all of my beautiful fans for the recent scandals and rumours surrounding me. Yes it was true that I was in a relationship but that is no more. I am now going to a different agency so there is to be no worries paid there. As for the fan I will pay all of her medical fees happily and I truly sorrow for causing her injury. I am deeply sorrow to all of my fans for these past days and I hope to improve more because of them. I will hold a special concert in the town hall tomorrow night for you all. Free admission as it's my apology to you all.'
I can't believe how easily he told his fans of his break up. A normal person would be absolutely devastated over the break up but not Hyuk.
Apparently the only thing he actually cares about is his career. I close the tab not wanting to read any more.
I throw my phone onto the bench and hurry to finish my food.
I then wash the dishes as quietly as possible before heading into my room.
I close the blinds and change into my pyjamas before getting into bed.
I dial Taekwoon's number and he answers on the third ring. Before he has the chance to ask, I explain the whole situation.
He remains silent for a few moments as he proceeds to look at the articles online.
"The guy sounds like an absolute prick" is all he says. I nod as I pick at my lip with my thumb.
"Hongbin is absolutely heart broken and here is this absolute tool who is parading around apologising and almost acting as though Hongbin was just a misspelled word on his career."
"I never really liked this Hyuk guy from the start" Taekwoon mutters and I don't even have to say anything for him to know that I agree.
"How was your day? Please tell me something good happened. I need to hear of some good news at least."
Taekwoon then proceeds to inform me of every little detail of his day after I left.
I happily listen to him speak as I slowly drift to sleep. "Hakyeon? Hakyeon?" Taekwoon calls out which brings my attention back to his words.
"Sorry" I mutter and rub my eyes with my spare hand. "I should let you get some rest. I think it's going to be long few days for you" he states and I don't disagree.
"Goodnight Taekwoon" I bid him farewell and he does the same. I hang up and fall asleep before I get the chance to plug my phone on charge.
Yuta's POV
The fan chants are still loud and clear as we exit the stage. The feeling is great as we descend the stairs to backstage.
Taeyong and I exchange a happy glance before getting our mics removed. We just did our debut stage.
I wish Jaehyun was here to witness the power of the fan chants. It really helps us when we perform. Makes me think all this hard work is worth it.
