Putting jasmines food on the plate I spoke to her grandmother. I had to let her know that jasmine was just released from the hospital and that she is more than welcome to come check up on her. I quickly headed up stairs to Jasmine room and gave her my phone and her food.

"Hello?" She said into the phone.
"¿Hola como estás?" Her grandma said on speaker
Jasmine swallowed her food before speaking, "estoy viviendo. ¿Y tú?"
Translation: I'm living. And you?
"Regular, ¿cúando vienes de visíta?"
Translation: regular, when are you coming to visit?
"Uh siempre que tenga el tiempa"
Translation: whenever I have the time.
"Awwwe, ¿no extrañas a tu familia?"
Translation: you don't miss your family?
Jasmine didn't responded immediately. She hummed a song as she ate.
"Hola?"
"Sí?"
"¿Me has oído?"
Translation: you heard me?
"Sí, abuela. Lo siento" she answered in a low tone.
"Buena, te voy dejar ir. Dile a tu madre que la llamaré más tarde"
Translation: good, well I am going to let you go. Tell your mother that I will call you later.
"Kay"
"Te amo"
Translation: love you
"Yo también te amo"
Translation: I love you too
"Adíos"
"Adíos"
Jasmine handed me back my phone. I locked it placing it on her dresser. For a minute I watched jasmine eat her food humming some song.
"Is it good?" I asked
She shrugged.
I nodded, "Well I got the recipe from your grandma, so I hope I made it like-"
"More camarones And Ají"
"I didn't want to make it too spicy...I put a lot in it already"
She shook her head, "I'm Honduran...putting a Peruvian sauce in my food...how is it going to be too spicy...either way it goes we all eat the same thing"
"Okay well I'll put more the next time I make it...but how I do?"
