We go in our room upstairs with our textbooks in hand. I grab a few pencils off my desk before sitting down on the floor next to Kit.
"Okay, so this is just a paper over the History of the Day." He says looking at the few pages over this tragic subject.

"Professor said to just write our experience of it, and how we survived. If we manage to..." I add on the last part quickly, tossing the pencils to the side.

"Okay so screw the assignment for right now, let's form a plan for Monday. Do we plan on staying at the dorms like a base or moving around?" He says opening a notebook he grabbed off his desk, pencil ready.

"They're making us go to the Academy on Monday, but we meet up outside. Once everybody has gathered around in their 3rd year, the Headmaster will talk to us and then send us away from the Academy. From what I've heard they said stay away from the dorms, the Academy will have a protection shield around it for the students who are not 'participating' but the dorms will be vulnerable." I say before pulling out a map on our bookshelf.

"So... we're going to move around. Will we team with anyone or just the two of us? Also, where will we go?" I sigh, taking a moment to think before I answer.

"The more people there are the more dark magic will be drawn. We can only wander, from what we've been taught in our classes these monsters are pretty clever and can tell if you have a destination in mind." He starts jotting down notes, pausing every now and then to think before resuming.

"Here's a map of the lands around the Academy. It varies from tall Enchanted Forests, to the Blizzard Peaks which is not a good idea to go to, deserts and more. So we need to wear clothes we can move in and if we get in a winter-like place we will just have to suffer because coats will weigh us down." He nods and writes down a summary of what I said.

"What do the monsters look like exactly?" He says, throwing his notebook on his desk with his pencil.

"I checked out a book about the Day monsters yesterday. Let me go grab it." I grab the map before getting up.

I put the map back on the bookshelf, and then head downstairs to where our backpacks are hanged on hooks near the door.
"No you- WILL WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! YOU DON'T PUT THE EGGSHELLS IN THE PAN FOR THE LAST TIME!" I hear Jasmine's frustated cries from the kitchen and try not to laugh.

Rummaging through my bag I finally find the book. I race up the stairs and burst in the door to find Kit standing on the balcony looking out at the tall, gorgeous trees surrounding the dorms.
Now is my chance for revenge.
I sneak up behind him and jump on his back wrapping my arms around his neck dragging him down.

I jump up and screech running downstairs as he immediantly gets up and chases me.
I race into the lounge room across from the kitchen and we run in circles until I slip and fall flat on my face. Giving up, I just lay there laughing not giving a crap if I possibly broke my nose.

"You two seem to be in good spirits considering the event on Monday." Jasmine says strolling into the lounge.

"Did you two finish up?" I ask while sitting up.

"Yup, we're about to do that review from Professor Kyndal." William says entering the lounge.

"Oh crap we haven't even started on that. We've been planning for Monday. How about we all work on it tomorrow night after dinner?" I say while Kit drags me up on my feet.

"Sounds good to me. Don't forget, tomorrow at noon is a social and this one is special because only 3rd years get to go." Jasmine says grinning.

"Uh I don't know about special, maybe a party before promised death social." William says with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

We sit down in the lounge eating dinner while watching a talk show for only the Academy on the big screen mounted on the wall.
"Socials aren't my thing..." I say as one if the girls brings up tomorrow on the show.

"Oh come on you've been to a few last year this one will be fun. We get the chance to have the Day off our mind and party. Not to mention you could totally show off your skills in the spars that occur." Jasmine says with a pleading look on her eyes.

"Where is this social going to happen?" I say, sighing.

"On the east side of the Academy, it's going to last from noon till everyone gets tired of being there. It usually goes on past midnight because lots of the students are serious partiers."

"Fine I'll go... just this one time. You know the main reason I can't stand the socials." I tell her and she leaps up, along with Kit.

"Finally! I'm always thirdwheeling Jasmine and William. I've been getting tired of not having my partner show up." Kit says excitedly.

"Come on let's go pick out what we'll wear!" Jasmine grabs my hand and drags me upstairs.

The dorms are kind of odd, there's two closets, one is for the guys and the other is for the girls. Not exactly closets, but a room full of clothes and shoes and anything necassary. If you don't have any guys in your dorm house then you go with your partner in one and the other two in the other. Samething if it were guys.
My side of the room is pastel green while Jasmine's is pastel pink. Let me just take a while to explain this more. You get one half of the room, and since the Academy has so much information about you they 'create' clothes that match your personality and what you do.

They have all sorts of clothes, dress clothes, uniforms, weekend clothes, all sorts of shoes, and a vanity of stuff the Academy tailors thinks suits you. So you pretty much don't bring clothes with you, only two outfits. One to wear on your way to the Academy, and one on your way home for the summer or if you graduated. Enough explaining, back to the story.

Jasmine opens my closet, tapping on the Formal file. The whole slots of options of clothes slides back, and a huge shelf emerges from up above stopping infront of us.
"Okay, so since they're hosting what I've heard from the older kids who have been through this social in their 3rd year is a grand ball in a way. Sure the biggest one in the spring but this one is right after it in the most favorited.
"You're going to want to wear something fancy, and you know I've always wanted to be a hair stylist or a tailor for the Academy so I'll do our hair and pick out our outfits." I nod, sitting down on one of the beanbags in the middle of the room.

Everyone wears the color that represents their class powerwise, and of course mine is red. Jasmine taps a button with Formal on it and the closet door shuts and clothes shuffle around in there a bit.

The door slides away and I get up looking through the dresses. I stop when I find the right one and I pull it out to show Jasmine.
"I got an idea!" She sprints over to her closet and starts furiously pressing buttons. Oh Amity, what have you gotten yourself into.
