(This is a relatively short chapter but I have two really long, great chapters coming up and I have a special POV for you guys!!)
Murphy's POV
With my broken hand, I haven't been able to do much of anything. I was supposed to get it off after Thanksgiving Break but that didn't happen. They noticed on an xray that I hadn't healed enough yet.
Right now, I'm trying to open a can of soup but I'm physically unable to.
"Bellamy!" I shout to him, but he probably won't hear me since he's sleeping, "Bellamy, I need your help!"
Without any response, I stomp all the way up the stairs hoping to cause some disturbance for him. Still hearing nothing, I burst through my bedroom door to see him still sleeping soundly on the floor of my room.
I kick his chest, rolling him over, "Hey, Sleeping Bellamy! Wake up, I need you to do something for me."
He mumbles, clearly angry and sits up while rubbing his eyes, "What the hell, dude? It's like 8 am."
"It's actually noon but I mean who cares right? I only need to eat but I can't open the freaking soup can!" I yell, storming out of my room and back down to the kitchen.
If I had this stupid cast off than I would be able to do everything fine and not be helpless.
Bellamy mopes his way downstairs, clearly still half asleep and cracks open the soup can, "You're welcome."
I lightly shove him out of the way to put my soup in a bowl, "Thanks and don't be so bitter."
"I'm not bitter, you're the one who kicked me to wake me up and was yelling about food," He mentions, taking an apple from the fruit bowl and biting into it. He sits at the kitchen island across from me.
I laugh, "You don't know what it's like to be helpless, huh?"
"I guess I don't" He groans and goes to lie down on the couch. He grabs a pillow and blanket, getting ready for a post-sleep nap probably.
I follow him, sitting in the recliner and turning on the TV. I make sure the volume is especially loud, just to please him.
"What are you doing for you birthday coming up?" I loudly ask, trying to annoy him as much as possible.
He shakes his head, still shutting his eyes and laying down, "Nothing."
"Come on, man. You have a hockey game so let's go out to eat after it? How about that?" I suggest, hoping to get a bigger response from him.
"I guess I could," he pauses to sit up, "Maybe if you would turn this down and stop yelling?"
That's what I do for him, "I'm supposed to be getting my cast off that day so I might be a little late to the game but I'll be there."
"Okay but like, who am I even supposed to invite?" He questions, still angry with being awake and having to function.
I put my hand to my chin sarcastically and say, "I don't know, you invited 5 of us to New York with you. How about all of us?"
He scoffs, "I don't want Clarke there, she could care less about me. She hasn't spoken to me outside of school since we got back from New York."
