"Best friend (noun) Someone you can trust with your life who has seen the best and the worst of you and will be there whenever you need someone to talk to. There is a balance in the relationship between give and take. You feel so in sync with them that you can comfortably share your innermost feelings and thoughts." – unknown

I tiptoed into the bedroom and planted my knee beside Levi in bed, swinging a leg over him. "Morning Levingston."

Levi's left eye opened and he looked up at me. A smile spread across his face. "Not that I don't mind waking up to find you on top of me but I am pretty tired, Mais." He scrubbed a hand down the length of his face.

"You have to get up or you'll be late for work. "Levi was asked to fill in for another office last night on patrol and still was expected to be at work at 7am this morning.

Levi pressed his palms to my face, guided my mouth to his. I pressed a few chaste kisses on his lips then meant to pull away when he placed a finger under my chin, holding me still. "Levi..." I braced both hands on either side of his head as I felt his tongue touch the tip of mine.

"Just awhile longer." He murmured as I opened my mouth wider, allowing him to deepen the kiss.

Kissing his back, I moved my hands from beside his head to press back with both hands on his shirtless body.

We're both breathing hard.

I'd let my curious fingers explore his bare chest as Levi nibbled on my earlow before kissing the skin just below my jaw.

"Levi...Stop. We don't have...time for this."

"5 more minutes," he drew back, his eyes bored into mine, "I need to talk to you about something."

"A—about what?" I stammered, shifting nervously off him. I sat back, folding my legs underneath me.

I hated those words.

It's never a good sign to have someone say there's something important you need to talk about.

It's never a good thing and it always a serious thing.

I'm not so nervous about it being a break up talk because...well...you don't kiss someone like that if your about to break it off.

----Maybe he got a promotion and it's mean he'd have to transfer outside of Wake Forest. Moving wouldn't be the worst idea ever but I don't want to transfer to a new high school for the final few months of High school. I wanted to graduate here with my friends.

---If we have to move after then so be it. There's nothing keeping me in Wake Forest.
