"Get him to Sick Bay now!" Scarlett's voice shook with desperation as the team returned to the Ruination.

I practically fell out of the jackal hustling to exit. Dani was hot on my heels, pushing past to examine Reyes bleeding out on a flat gurney from the fighter ship. Caitlyn and Caleb came up as a pair.

"Hurry up!"" Scarlett hissed, rushing with the other soldiers to take the unconscious body towards the elevator lift.

The rest of us followed, Caitlyn pressing closer to me by the second. Dani was over Reyes, applying pressure and figuring out the source of the wound. Caleb, on the other hand, held a distance as if the amount of blood was his own.

It could've been.

"We need doctors, right now!" Dani called out as the group consisting of two other soldiers who were experienced in the medical field, Scarlett, the siblings and myself moved with her.

The gurney went behind two closed doors and I went to follow but a hard shove from a doctor assigned aboard told me otherwise. He glanced at me and then continued to to help with the bloody situation.

"I'm not letting him out of my sight!" I cried out, my chest tight.

Caitlyn touched my arm to try and change my mind, to soothe the thoughts of fear clouding my brain. I shrugged away, seeing Dani blocking the doorway.

She met my green-eyed sadness with a strong, determined chocolate color. "I promise I'll take care of him, Terra. I'll make sure he's alright. You have my word."

"How much of that word can I trust considering what you did?" I hissed, my worry turning to defensiveness.

Dani was quiet and only looked after Reyes through the long hallway behind the doors. "I've had to treat these wounds before and I'm one of the only ones who knows how."

I swallowed. "Don't let him die, Dani. Please."

Her long look told me that wouldn't happen, not today at least. She spun around, pushing through the doors to join the medical team. Caitlyn pressed close to me, a hand touching my arm in attempted comfort.

"Come, you need to rest," Caitlyn ushered me.

"Caleb?" I wondered, almost dizzy now.

"He went to get checked."

I sighed and allowed Cait to lead me through the Ruination hallways, her hand on my arm. I barely saw where we were going through my rambling thoughts. She steadied me as we entered my quarters and I immediately sank down on the twin bed and breathed deeply.

"Just rest, he'll be okay."

When I awoke, I was a star in the middle of my bed. My ponytail, surely crusted with blood and red dust was tangled and messy. My left eyebrow felt numb- probably from Dani and I's little fist fight- and my lip was swollen from being split.

I got up, deciding going to talk to Kash after I fixed myself would be the best idea. Using a little mirror on my dresser, I dressed my lip with the emergency first aid kit stationed in every room. I applied a cream that was similar to an ice pack- it helped reduce swelling as well. For right above my eyebrow, I flushed it with rubbing alcohol, wiped the area clean and bandaged it with a butterfly bandage.
