Everyone rose bright and early to prepare for the day. First, we all got dressed and walked into the Great Hall for breakfast.

"Where should we look first, Harry?" Ron asked.
"Well, I think we should all go to the Chamber of Secrets," I said, "It's probably best if we all stay together."

We continued to eat the large platefuls of food as I began to hear faint whispers. They were saying something in Parseltounge, but I could barely make it out. I stopped moving and began to listen carefully. The voices were saying We must depart! and other things.

"Harry, is there something - ," Ginny asked.
"Sh!" I interrupted.

I cautiously stood up and held my ear against the wall. Then, the voices disappeared. A few students acknowledged that I heard something.

"There were voices," I said to my friends.
"Voices?" Hermione questioned. "Were they in Parseltounge?"
"Yea," I answered as I sat back down. "Let's finish up and go!"

Everyone began to eat quickly, shoving every last morsel of food down their throats. Then, we snatched our things and raced to the girls' lavoratory. The door to the chamber opened, and we jumped down into the pit.

"Harry, are you sure about this?" Ginny asked.
"Don't be afraid, Ginny," I told her. "We're all here to defend each other."

Stepping through the dank chamber, we finally entered the basilisk's home. I stared at the fragile structure of bones and teeth of the basilisk. We all looked around the chamber and I listened carefully.

"Do you hear anything?" Hermione asked.
"Well...just barely. I could only make out one thing," I answered. "The voices said, 'We must depart!' Now, I can hear them."

Everyone began to examine the chamber. The face of the sculpted man was partially broken from when I battled the dead basilisk.

"There's nothing here, Harry," Hermione said. "Let's go."

We left the chamber and returned to the castle. As the chamber closed, we decided to go to the restricted section of the library to search for more clues.

"Let's go and research horcruzes," Hermione suggested.

Once we walked through the iron gate, that divided the library, Hermione began to pull out several different books. She put them on a wooden table nearby. Cob webs filled the corners of bookcases and dust came flying out of each book she removed.

"Hermione, what are you doing?" Ron asked. "Some of these books won't even help us!"
"That's my pile of light reading books, Ronald," Hermione said.

I grabbed a book and examined it. The book was called Dark Magic and Potions. I opened it and flipped to the index. Quickly, I turned to the page about Horcruxes and began to read it. The page on Horcruxes was somewhat ripped apart. The second half of the article was ripped out of the book. However, I had this to read.

Horcruxes are pieces of witches' or wizards' soul. A witch or wizard can only divide their soul into six pieces. However, the only known wizard that has split their soul into seven pieces, is Lord Voldemort - with seven pieces of souls. Although he only had seven, a small part of his soul that was combined with Harry Potter's soul, has a mix of conscious of both wizards. One half is Harry Potter's soul, the other fragment is Lord Voldemort's soul. This type of soul is known as a drifter. Drifters whisper phrases and sayings that have been said by their mother soul. The only known drifter, is of Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter. These drifters are found in a building or place where the two witches/wizards connect or have shared in their life time. As long as this little fragment of souls are drifting in the air, either one can return to the world.
