Ginny raced out to Harry to see her daughter. Harry held Lily's hand every so gently as Ginny put a red rose in her red hair. He let go of Lily's hand as Ginny put her arm around Harry's shoulder. Hermione and Ron cried in the exposed hallways of the castle. Albus, James, Teddy, Rose, and Hugo had melancholy expressions as they watched their parents - otherwise their godfather, uncle, and aunt - mourn over Lily.
"She's in a much better place now Harry...," Ginny whispered into Harry's ear.
"I know...," he sobbed.
"I know it's much harder for you, honey, but we know she's in a sweet haven," Ginny cried softly.
She stood up and held out her hand for Harry and her to depart their daughter. They both left to join the rest of their family. They all returned to the Room of Requirement to discuss plans. Professor McGonagall was anticipating them.
"Potter...Weasley...," she said frightened. "A quarter of the school's students and teachers have been wounded. They have been said to have their magic taken away."
"Just like in the Daily Prophet," Harry muttered.
"Exactly...," she agreed. "There's no cure for it. The Death Eaters have almost completely wiped out all of the muggle-borns in the school."
"That's terrible...," Hermione commented.
"To prevent anyone else from getting hurt, we should have them all sleep in here," Ginny suggested.
"Good idea," Professor McGonagall said. "You all should cast an enchantment spell to expand the area in this room. I'll go have the professors escort the children in here."
Professor McGonagall left as they all began to move their stuff to a corner in the room. Hermione and Ginny casted the protection spells. The Room of Requirement automatically set up several long rows of bunk beds. Underneath each bottom bunk were two chests - one for each student. In the corner, it set up an organized storage unit for each house's extra possesions.
Harry and Ron had floating curtains enclosing them in a corner. Their beds were set next to each other with a short curtain dividing them for privacy. After setting up lights, and finishing moving their belongings, Harry sat on his bed he shared with Ginny and thought about Lily. Ron peeked around the curtain and saw his friend there. He sat next to his friend and waited for him to speak.
"Harry...are you alright?" Ron asked.
"Yea...I'm fine," he replied.
"I know that you're not," Ron said. "Talk to me! I'm you're step-brother."
"You don't understand," Harry muttered.
"You can talk to me about what you're feeling though," Ron offered.
"I just lost my only daughter, Ron!" Harry exclaimed. "What makes it so hart to believe, is that...she's like my mother. You-Know-Who said she was the incarnation of my mother."
"Harry, I know I'm not good with these talks, but maybe you should do something to make you happy and try to forget about her," Ron suggested.
"I can't just forget about my daughter, Ron," Harry told him. "Look, it's complicated."
Harry stood up and walked away. Ron sat on Harry's bed and thought about what it would be like to be him. Then, he walked out of their corner to see what was going on. Ginny, Hermione, and Harry continued to put up the the charms to expand the room and protect everyone. Ron began to help as they were putting up charms on the wall parallel to the entrance. They heard doors open as several people walked in.
"Professor McGonagall, we're almost ready! Just keep the students outside for a second!" Hermione ordered.
The footsteps continued to get louder.
"Professor!" Ginny shouted as she continued doing a non-verbal spell.
"Father!" a familiar female voice said calmly.
Harry froze as a silver line from his wand dissipated. He turned around and saw a short, red-headed, girl with sparkling emerald eyes. She wore her Gryffindor uniform and was waiting for her father to greet her.
"Lily?" Harry asked the girl.
