Chapter 7

You wake up the next morning, eyes puffy and bloated. Your throat dry and raspy. You head downstairs to get a glass of water then everything hits you all at once. You get flashes of yesterday rammed into your brain and you collapse. Suddenly it's dark.

This time you wake up to see white everywhere. You hear the mechanic beep of the vital machine...continuous...never ending. You try to get up but you fall back...into somebody's hands. You look up to see Daehyun's heavenly face. Blurry but you could see. Then all of a sudden it morphed into your dad's face.

Of course. What would Daehyun be doing here when he hates my dad so much. I quickly pull on a scowl and talk through clenched teeth.

You: What are you doing here, I don't want to see you or talk to you so please go.

Your dad nods once and sits up ready to go. He falters by the curtains and says, "I didn't mean to do that [Y/N] the power of money overtook me that's why I did that."

You snort and turn onto your side acting as if asleep. He leaves and you are alone, and you feel a huge wave of loneliness overcome you. That's when a new person comes. You think it's your dad again so you yell at him to leave you alone, but then you hear the familiar voice, the sweet soothing voice of Daehyun that seemed to solve everything. You turn around and stare at him in wonder and shock. What is he doing here? Does he care for you that much?

DH: Just wanted to check you were still alive!

He chuckled, not like before, almost cautious.

You look at him warily and you don't say anything. A lump forms in your throat rising, tears start to well up in your eyes and you try to hold it back, but you can't. A tear escapes and Daehyun quickly catches it clearing it swiftly with his thumb. He leans down and lightly kisses your forehead in return.

He leaves and you feel one more wave of loneliness once again.
