chapter fifty three

Zach's pov: I got on the plane and sat down at my seat.

"Sweet window seat." I said to myself as I looked out the window.

I felt someone sit down next to me and looked over to see a really pretty girl.

"Looks like we are airplane buddies." I said chuckling.

"Yeah, looks like it." She said smiling.

"I'm Kaylie by the way." She said holding out her hand.

"Zach." I said as I shook her hand.

"You look familiar." She said.

"Well you've probably seen me on social media." I replied.

"Maybe." She said as she shrugged.

"Maybe you know me cause I'm in a band." I said.

Her eyes lit up and she snapped her fingers.

"That's right, you're in that band We Don't Why." She said.

I laughed and shook my head.

"Why Don't We." I corrected her.

She looked confused.

"Why don't we what?" She asked casing me to laugh harder.

"What?" She asked.

"My band's name is Why Don't We." I said.

Her face turned red.

"Oh god, I'm sorry." She said as she laughed slightly.

The whole flight we talked and I felt a special connection to Kaylie.

*time skip to landing*

"I want you to meet my family." I said as Kaylie and me headed towards the escalators.

"Yeah that sounds nice." Kaylie said.

Kaylie and me both walked up to us with smiles on their faces. I hugged my  mom.

"Are you gonna introduce us to your new friend?" My mom asked me as she pulled away from our hug.

"Oh yeah, of course." I replied.

I motioned for Kaylie to walk closer to me.

"Everyone this is Kaylie, I just met her on the flight." I said smiling.

"Nice to meet you all, Zach has told me so much about all of you." Kaylie said.

"It's nice meeting you too." My mom said politely.

"Hi I'm Janina, Zach's girlfriend." Janina said extending my hand out for her to shake it.

Kaylie shook Janina's hand.

"Zach talked about you a lot during the flight." Kaylie said chuckling.

"He was right, when he said you were really pretty." She added.

Janina blushed.

"Thanks." Janina said.

I smiled because I was happy to see Janina and Kaylie were getting along.

*the next day later*

I was in my room texting Kaylie while my parents were away on a date and Janina, Reese and Ryan were doing something. I heard my room door open, but didn't look up from my phone.

"Hey babe, I'm gonna take Reese and Ryan to get some ice cream want to come with?" I heard Janina asked.

I looked up from my phone and shook my head.
