PARTS OF SENTENCE
A sentence has two general parts.
1. Subject tells whom or what the sentence is about.
2. Predicate tells about or describes the subject.
Example :
The old man is driving the tractor.

KINDS OF SENTENCES
There are four kinds of sentences.
1. A telling sentence gives information. It ends with a period (.)
Examples :
• Alejander is the third child in the Zamora's family
• He has three sisters.
2. An asking sentence is a question. It is ends with a question mark (?)
Examples :
• Are there seven children in the family?
• How is Zane now?
3. An exclaiming sentence shows strong feeling or emotion. It uses an exclamation point (!)
Examples :
• It's a miracle!
• Let's celebrate!
4. A commanding sentence is an order or request. It is also ends with a period (.)
Examples :
• Children stay home and pray for your brother.
• Kindly kneel and pray hard.
* Each sentence begins with a capital letter.

Declarative Sentence
- tells something

Interrogative Sentence
- asks something
- also called question
- ends with a question mark (?)
