Preposition
- is a word expressing the relationship between a noun or a pronoun with another word in the sentence

by, of, for, with, around, at, in, on

~ Prepositional Phrases ~

Born in and Born on

Born in - used if it is followed by place, month year or both

Examples :

Aki was born in September.

He was born in Batangas.

Jossy was born in October 1995.

Born on - is used if it is followed by the day of the month of birth

Examples :

My cousin was born on February 4, 2000.

The triplets were born on August 13.


Live in, Live on and Live at

Live in - used only with the name of the barangay, city, province, or country

Examples :

Andrew and Jox live in Lucena City.

I live in Philippines.

My cousins live in Tabangao.

Live on - is used only with the name of the street, avenue, boulevard, or farm

Examples :

Mr. and Mrs. Santos live on Roosevelt Avenue, New York City.

She used to live on Rizal Street.

They live on Roxas Boulevard.

Live at - is used with the number of the house, or with the complete address

Examples :

James' family lives at 25 Hill Street, MJ Village.

She lives at 245 D. Silang Street, Batangas City.

They live at 748 Sitio 4, Balagtas, Batangas City.
