- form of verb or a group of words that can act as an adjective
Kinds of participle
1. Present Participle - ends in -ing
Example:
It was a learning day.
2. Past Participle - usually ends in -ed, -en or another irregular ending
Example:
She drank chilled milk.
Have that broken door repaired.
3. Perfect Participle - uses having or having been before a past participle
Example:
Having been selected, we felt proud

Participial Phrase
- can be formed from present participle (-ing), from past participle (-ed) or from perfect participle (having or having been) use before a past participle. The entire phrase acts as an adjective in a sentence.
