I guess we were already near our new house. So far I had slept almost all through the journey in order to avoid my crazy siblings and their rants, when I opened my eyes dad had already packed the car in front of this mansion-like building. Wow!
I got out of the car with the rest of the family and I could tell everyone was as surprised as I was, except dad of course. He had been the one to plan everything and didn't even show us a picture of the house when we asked and he said it was a surprise. A big surprise indeed. When we all finally recovered, I heard dad say. "Why don't you guys go in and check out the place while I organize the stuffs into the house." We didn't even wait for a second, Jordan, Divine and I sprinted towards the house. Inside was more amazing, the living room ceiling held the largest chandelier I had ever seen. We crossed the living room to the stairs and climbed all the way up, as we moved I counted the rooms on that floor- ten of them! We took the next flight of stairs to the final floor and it had another ten rooms in it. What were we going to do with so much rooms?
"Eva check out!" Jordan yelled from across the other end, he was standing in front of an open room and grinning foolishly. I got to him and I couldn't help but smile a little. The room was marvelous, and guess what? It was Jordan's room. The name tag on the door said so. I went in and examined it some more, it was bare at the moment but it was huge and I could already start to see the way Jordan would soon fill every available space with clothes and video games and stack the walls with ridiculous photos and posters of his favorite band. His walls were painted baby blue and white.
Then I heard Divine scream, first I thought something wrong had happened but I realized it was from excitement, I followed Jordan who had already ran out and got to where Divine was, she also stood in front of her room on the other side of the hall and it was four rooms from Jordan's. I got in, superb! The walls were a hot pink, the way she liked it and the floor had a sort of transparent carpet that looked as if it was a built in aquarium. I couldn't help but feel jealous at what I saw but I had to go and find my room too.
It was just three doors on Jordan's side and exactly opposite Divine's. Great, now I have to put up with her early morning squeals. I opened the door and my mouth opened along with it. I'm not being sentimental here but I think my room was the best. I had never liked blue or pink, so my room was painted in purple and lilac just the way it was back in the north. The carpet was a very dark shade of purple and it had a lilac persian rug on it. "Guys, come see." I managed to call my siblings. "Wow!" Was all Jordan could say. "I know right, its awesome." I added. "You always get the best of everything." Divine pouted. I rolled my eyes at her and ignored her before saying. "Hey, let's go and see what dad and mom are up to. We could check out their room too."
The living room had been transformed by the time we got down. The guys had managed to put everything in place and had moved on to the kitchen.
"Dad, how come Eva's room is better than mine?" Divine started again.
"Dad don't mind her. Where is you and mum's room?" I asked.
"Its on the first floor, the first room by your left." Then he added. "I hope you like your rooms?"
Yes dad!" We chorused.
