Call it change or anything but I didn't believe in my entire life that I would be kissing a girl, and my cousin at that. Maybe some characters change when you encounter new people. So I had kissed my Denise, it wasn't new any more and tell you what, we had been doing it for the past five days now! Yes. The thing is, I just needed a distraction from Vanessa and I felt Denise would be capable of creating such distraction, I think she did. I still don't feel the vibes like when I'm with Vanessa but its better than nothing, besides I haven't kissed Vanessa yet.
So today I told Denise about Vanessa and confessed that I had a small crush on her, she needed to see the scowl on her own face when I said that. "I hope I won't have to compete with anyone over you?" She asked after a while. "No Denise, I'm yours now. No body else's." I replied her.
I decided against telling Nicole just in case she might want to do something out of the ordinary which was very like Nicole. Three more days before we resumed school and I still didn't feel like going to school any more but this time around for a different reason- Denise. Everyday the girl found a way of making me love her more and I couldn't be more happy with her. But like everything good, it ended soon.
Monday came and I had to get going to school again but I knew I was coming back to see Denise waiting for me at home. School was back to normal, everyone went about their business as usual and my fans must have doubled over the week, I saw new faces eager to touch my locks and I was more than eager to show it to them and submit it for the touches, let's just say I was unusually excited today.
"I'm I mad or are you really excited about nothing this morning?" Nicole's voice came to me from behind. "No Nicole, you're not mad and yes, I'm very excited today." I replied gleefully. "Care to share why?" Gabrielle chipped. I turned to my friends, we still had about twenty minutes before the bell rang for start of class and we were currently sitting in an empty classroom chatting away the boredom. I decided to give them the story in bits, I still wasn't ready to let it all out.
"Emm, yea. Let's just say I encountered cupid and allowed him shoot through me." I smiled afterwards. The oohs and ahhs were expected and as also expected Nicole was the first to speak. "Tell us, tell us, tell us. Who's the lucky guy?" Now that's where she and the rest of them were going to get the shock of their lives when I told them the difference in their speculations. "Well, actually guys, its a she and not a he." I said softly, shyness suddenly taking over me, making my cheeks burn. Another round of oohs and ahhs. "You Eva, in love with a girl? Now that's something juicy to get the day going." Louisa spoke for the first time. "Who's she darling? Who's the girl that got our Eva going crazy?" Grace who was usually quiet asked as eager as the others. "I'm not telling you guys anything about her," the groans of disappointment filled the air and I quickly added, "yet." Then the sighs of relief. "So when do we get to meet her?" Louisa asked again. "I don't know, maybe when I'm very ready." All the while Nicole stared at me in a very suspicious way. I knew the look because she always had it when she was not buying a tale or was very suspicious about something. Right now was no exemption, she didn't believe me but I didn't get to talk to her before the bell rang asking us to go to class and begin the day.
